Really happy to share our new paper published in @NatureComms, an amazing collaboration with @bstockwell lab and others, demonstrating that cysteine/methionine deprivation can sensitize glioma cells to a form of cell death called ferroptosis nature.com/articles/s41467-0…

Check out our new preprint! A study led by @MateiBanu, PGY7 @ColumbiaNeuro. We find that astrocytic-like quiescent #glioma cells are driven by distinct metabolic programs, and this treatment-resistant glioma subpop can be effectively targeted via #ferroptosis in human GBM tissue.
