This is the point. Same will happen in all countries that will make social media age restrictions. “Won’t someone think of the children” is usually not about the children
JUST IN: UK Government clarifies adults will still be able to use social media by verifying their identities with digital IDs, facial recognition, passports and credit cards.

Apparently some of the old-money power holders don't like this new kid on the block having a bigger bank account than them. Those same folks who control many traditional media channels - putting out nonsense about Elon that too many gullibles fall for.
They chose that headline and photo on purpose. It’s clear they are hoping to inspire the next Luigi Mangione. We still don’t hate journalists enough.

I don’t know who needs to hear this, but… The poorest Americans today enjoy a standard of living that the richest people on earth couldn’t buy a century ago. Why? Free-market capitalism is the only system in history to lift entire societies out of mass poverty.

Truth is - USA is a great country. Their actions prove it. Carney moved his company HQ there. He graduated from university there & his kids go to school there. Why they try to convince you otherwise is a question you need to reflect on. For yourself.
The most unbelievable part isn’t that Justin Trudeau chose Team USA over Team Canada. It’s that while Canadians are constantly told to BUY CANADIAN, he’s sitting there drinking Lone Star Beer from Texas. American team. American beer. American celebrity. Meanwhile Canadians get another lecture about supporting local. The hypocrisy is breathtaking. 🇨🇦

But if a monkey generated millions of net new bananas for all monkeys to benefit from, he'd be a hero. People don't understand the basics of wealth creation. It's embarrassing to see this zero sum game assumption repeated by those who have never built anything.
in nature if a monkey hoarded 1 trillion bananas the other monkeys would beat that monkey to death and take his bananas

Seems to be the flavour of the day, yup.
I think possibly the best thing about Elon Musk becoming a trillionaire is how angry it makes a bunch of losers who've never built a thing in their lives.

We have the resources & access to both Atlantic & Pacific markets & pipelines south Weak federal leadership & provincial squabbles, we don't have the infrastructure east to west to optimize our refining potential We could do so much better if we acted in national best interests
We’re home to the world’s 4th largest oil reserves. That’s a strategic asset few countries can match. In a world demanding reliable energy, Canada has what the world needs. And exporting it around the world creates prosperity that enriches the lives of all Canadians.

Is there a chance our neighbours to the south can save Canadians from the destruction of free speech online?

I believe this puts us in a close #2 position in the space race.
SpaceX $SPCX may be valued at over $2 trillion dollars… but have you seen Canada’s spaceport?

lol This is perfect satire of far left logic, which is unfortunately a disease that we are taking too long to cure ourselves of. My hat tips to you, @AviFelman

Why should we stop at 5% If we up to 10, we can do so much more Actually, if we just confiscate everything, we could literally have a utopia If you disagree with me, you want people to die. You are a bad person. You are a fascist. Probably a Nazi.

Danger & Division sells in Canada. Hope is not a vote getter. Danger & Division sets the stage for more control & more legislation that puts additional power in government hands.
BROKEN RECORD Mark Carney is in Paris and tells France the world is more dangerous and divided. He can’t help himself. Every speech, every news release he needs to remind to world we are in a dangerous times. When will Mark Carney provide HOPE?

This op-ed represents everything wrong within 🇨🇦: envy, grounded in grievance & victimhood. The instinct to attack success, instead of working hard to emulate it, is a sickness in our society & toxic to our prosperity, productivity & future. Why’d the G&M publish this rubbish?

A National crab bucket mentality. Dragging everyone down with it.
You don’t have to love Elon Musk to recognize what this headline says about us. A country that spends more time criticizing wealth creation than encouraging it sends a clear message to builders: your success is tolerated, not celebrated. Canada should be the best place in the world to build ambitious companies. Headlines like this make us look like we’re not quite ready for that.
