Comparative analysis of robotic, laparoscopic, and open ileal pouch–anal anastomosis outcomes: retrospective cohort study ➡️doi.org/10.1093/bjsopen/zraf… This study compared robotic, laparoscopic, and open ileal pouch–anal anastomosis (IPAA). Although overall pouch failure rates were similar across the three approaches, robotic IPAA had lower conversion rates to open surgery and fewer 30-day readmissions than laparoscopic IPAA. Open surgery was associated with a lower incidence of thromboembolic events.
