Your calendar was full at 21 and empty at 26 for a reason MIT discovered in 1950. Researchers studied a housing complex called Westgate and found friendship was predicted by one variable above everything else: physical distance between front doors. Students living near stairwells and mailboxes made the most friends. Shared interests, values, personality? All downstream of foot traffic. They named it the propinquity effect. Researcher Rebecca Adams later distilled friendship formation into three conditions: proximity, repeated unplanned interactions, and settings where people let their guard down. A college campus delivers all three automatically, dozens of hours a week of engineered collisions. Adult life delivers zero by default. That's the entire mechanism behind days blending together. Your brain registers novelty from unplanned human contact. Remove the collisions and time loses its texture. The fix is repetition. One dinner party changes nothing. The same gym class, same coffee shop, same pickup game at the same time every week rebuilds the structure school gave you for free. Friendship grows from accumulated accidental contact, so frequency wins. College handed you a collision machine. Adults who stay social just rebuilt one.
Gen Z realizing one of the biggest shocks after college is that life no longer happens around you. In school, friends, events, relationships, and opportunities are built into your environment. As an adult, if you don't actively create a social life, weeks can turn into months surprisingly fast.

I've spent a lot of time over the past few days thinking about why Final Fantasy felt like Magic, but Marvel doesn't really even though the sets are very similar at first blush, and I think I've finally figured it out. mtggoldfish.com/articles/why…

Commercial advertising, product placements, and corporate-sponsored promotions are explicitly prohibited on national parklands. The White House lawn is a unit of the National Park System. It also violates standard Anti-Vending and Solicitation Laws as well as misuse of public funds and government endorsement ethics. Everything this administration does spits in the face of our laws. Everything is a grift.

OK - time to address the Cube pack duplication issue. It is definitely real. You open packs that were opened before way more frequently than it would happen at random - from a simple reason - it would not happen at random. Odds of that is one in 1.3*10^21. 1/

Canada is the only country in the world that has an island inside a lake in an island inside a lake in an island inside a lake. There are no known records of anyone ever having been here.

Almost seems like there's a checklist for designing new sets: Panharmonicon? Check Future Sight with set mechanic? Check Crucible of Worlds? Check 5C Legend with sets theme? Check What else do you think is on the checklist of things we see almost every set?

Imagine a horse jumps its fence and joins the crowd when you are in one of France's most prestigious cycling races. This video is from 1997, btw.

Thanos revealed. Lots of colors, but a 4/4 deathtouch, lifelink for three is a solid baseline if you can cast it. Power-up reminds me a lot of monstrous. Also probably confirms a colorless infinity stone.

Gustav Klimt’s portrait is of Prince William Nii Nortey Dowuona, a leader of the Osu tribe in modern-day Ghana. Klimt painted the prince in 1897 after a visit to Vienna’s Tiergarten am Schüttel.
