Good question.
Hundreds of Hamilton County voters were turned away on Election Day because they went to the wrong polling location. 72 of Indiana’s 92 counties offer open-to-all Voting Centers. But HamCo doesn’t. Why? ⬇️

Senator Greg Walker will be missed.
Former IN Sen. Greg Walker lost his primary after opposing last year’s redistricting push. He says he has no regrets: “I made the right choice.” Public service and fairness requires standing by principle, even at a political cost. Read more: bit.ly/4d82Xco

"This is what happens when the government gives into private equity to enrich the already-rich... @GovKathyHochul must not impose programs without input from the affected community. "Pushing early voting later in October prevents college students from voting at home during fall break." A public comment like this has been sidestepped as the amendment slithered in to HB 1359. 😡
Sen. Mike Gaskill refuses to allow testimony on an amendment to reduce early voting from 28 days to 16 days in Senate Elections Committee today. HB1359 - on scanning ballots - was scheduled for amend and vote only.

Absolutely
Bad day to be an Indianan, proud day to be a Hoosier.

#Hoosiers will always stand up to bullies. #FairMaps
Common Cause led the redistricting fight in Indiana — and we won. The Trump Administration did everything in their power to rig voting maps. Because of our leadership, senators stood with the majority of voters and stopped this power grab.

Maybe if lawmakers stopped bending over backwards for a power-hungry president, they’d notice what Hoosiers actually need: fair maps and real representation. People should matter more than party loyalty.
I am very disappointed that a small group of misguided State Senators have partnered with Democrats to reject this opportunity to protect Hoosiers with fair maps and to reject the leadership of President Trump. Ultimately, decisions like this carry political consequences. I will be working with the President to challenge these people who do not represent the best interests of Hoosiers.
Community note
A majority (21 out of 40) of republican state senators voted against the bill, not “a small group”. indianacapitalchronicle.com/2025/12/11/sen…

I heard from a source that Turning Point bused some of these rally goers in from Ohio? This is the pro redistricting rally. Would love to know how many Hoosiers are in the crowd.

Good morning from the Indiana House, where they're debating #redistricting. Make no bones about it, House Bill 1032 is a solution in search of a problem. Utility Bills have skyrocketed, and consumers are hurting. Let's talk about serious issues, #INLegis.

So true, I left the hearing with a sick feeling. The brazen admission that it is all about partisanship is so troubling. People should be ashamed when they cheat, not celebrate the fact that they can.
The fact they are so open about the reason - to secure their majority, rather than enhance representation of Hoosiers - is the most telling and troubling aspect of this MAGA version of the GOP. Government for those who govern, not the people. 😡
