Today marks the end of Hate Crime Awareness Week.
It was a pleasure to join @Communities_INC for their event in Parliament to hear about the work they do to tackle hate and discrimination through their training programmes: Stand by Me, Stand by Her and Microaggressions Matter.
Be sure to check their work out. #HCAW2025

I support @AntiRacismDay’s counter-protest at the Marriott in Cheshunt.
The far right is preying on local people to stoke division.
It’s not asylum seeker’s fault people are struggling - it’s because inequality is out of control and the super-rich are robbing us all blind.
Employers must now take active steps to prevent sexual harassment, not just respond after the fact. Is your workplace compliant? Our Stand By Her training equips staff to recognise and stop harassment, creating safer, more respectful environments.📩 shamsher@communitiesinc.org.uk
Today’s date is 24/7. We’re supporting #SamaritansAwarenessDay by reminding you that if you need to talk, @samaritanscharity is there 24/7 for anyone who needs someone to listen.
Full decriminalisation didn’t happen until 2003. Queer people still remain one of the UK’s most targeted groups.

Is your workplace a complaint? Policies alone won’t cut it.
- Culture matters. - Training matters. - Action matters.
Our Stand By Her training is here to help your organisation become compliant with the upcoming Workers Protection Act.

Young people don’t just have potential — they have vision. For #WorldYouthSkillsDay, we’re shouting out the brilliant students from our recent dialogue project, Young People's Citizens Assembly with @nottmcollege, who reimagined what a community means to them.
It’s the silence and inaction of those around him — producers, colleagues, managers who looked the other way, part of the problem. That’s why #StandByHer exists: to give people, especially men, the tools to call out sexism and harassment when it happens.
