The campaign for Proportional Representation absolutely must be won in the next 3 years. No party, let alone a dangerous racist party like Reform , should have any prospect of winning absolute power on 30% of the vote.
šŸ“OUT NOW In 2029, Reform UK could win on under 30% of the vote according to some polls. Our new research paper shows our voting system has a hand in this. Read more & find out why electoral reform is not a nice-to-have, but an emergency. #ukpolitics #PR #FPTP #VotingSystem

This MASSIVE MRP (13k people polled!) lays bare the intrinsic issue with FPTP. Reform would be on course the form a government with just 27% of the vote. The democratic deficit is huge. The case for PR has never been clearer.

YouGov's September 2025 MRP projects a hung parliament where Reform UK would be almost certain to form a government Reform UK: 311 ( 306 from 2024) Labour: 144 (-267) Lib Dems: 78 ( 6) Conservatives: 45 (-76) SNP: 37 ( 28) Greens: 7 ( 3) Plaid: 6 ( 2) Others: 3 (-2)

Thames Water sits in £22bn of debt whilst failing to provide clean, safe, affordable water. We're proud to support this Council motion. Public ownership is the only answer. The arguments against are drying up.
24 Sep 2025
Lewisham Greens are bringing a Council motion to demand public ownership of Thames Water. Alongside @CompassOffice, we're working with Councils in the Thames Water region to to make their position clear. Enough is enough. Thames Water's profiteering and pollution cannot continue. Together, we'll make sure that the voice of the 82% of people who want public ownership of water is heard. Listen to @liamshrivastava talk about why he's bringing the motion here. @LewishamGreens

Polling by @CompassOffice showed Labour members overwhelmingly want bolder offer on democracy, the economy, child poverty and much more. The government is out of step with the mainstream of the Labour Party and must reset to transform the country. independent.co.uk/news/uk/po…

"Proportional representation (PR) is far from being a magic bullet. It needs guardrails to anchor it, to prevent us being pulled to the far right, and to persuade UK citizens that PR is the change we need to pursue for the good society." Claire Jones on PR youtube.com/watch?v=2962NmGV…

"How do we approach the ugly events seen on the streets of the UK last summer? If we are to learn and understand the causes of the riots an inquiry is crucial. Without bolder change and policies that deliver more, there is a risk, as @Neal_Compass stresses, that the far right can make serious gains in the UK. This should be a wake up call for all of us working for a better democracy and a brighter future.

Donald Trump's inauguration is a wake-up call. We hope the #LabourParty will hear it. All the ingredients of a far-right overtake are present in the UK. If this government keeps pandering to the right instead of rallying progressive voices, we risk the same future here.
