AgLanta Eats, hosted by @AglantaGrown and @GroundworkATL, only produced 1/3 bag of trash for the ENTIRE event. The rest was #composted or recycled! #AgLantaEats2022

With limited options for commercial #composting in #Georgia, our on-farm composting facility was born in 2017 to aid in the critical effort to keep food scraps out of landfills and to build healthy soil.

To date, 50 participating restaurants and businesses have diverted over 1.7 million pounds of #compostables from the landfill. And, good news, we're looking to add more businesses to this program - free of charge!

In 2020, we enrolled in @greenprinteco's GreenerMiles program to further offset the tailpipe emissions from all of the vehicles in our fleet.

Thanks to the efforts of our members, the amount of food waste (and their equivalent methane emissions) our members divert from landfills already MORE than makes up for the total miles our fleet drives and the amount of fuel used.
