SEBI’s own General Manager Achal Singh has been caught red-handed in a massive extortion & blackmail scandal!
In a dramatic late-night crackdown (Feb 20, 2026), the market watchdog issued Office Order No. 08/2026 and slapped immediate suspension on GM Achal Singh under Regulation 86(1)(a) of SEBI Employees’ Service Regulations, 2001.
The charges?
Directly interfering in the ongoing Corporate Finance Department probe into the controversial C2C Advances Systems SME IPO — and misusing his official position to allegedly extort money from the company.
He crossed over from the Income Tax Dept to SEBI… only to allegedly rot the system from inside.
✅ Barred from entering any SEBI office without written permission
✅ Only subsistence allowance during suspension
✅ Disciplinary proceedings underway
The “watchdog” had a fox in the henhouse all along.
