I bet they still haven’t quite understand how to best use him, so am I, that innings was when I asked, where will he bat if Marsh and Head are back?
149 for Cooper Connolly, what a way to score your first century for Australia! He helps avoid the ODI series whitewash against Bangladesh. Read more: ab.co/44aO0lG Keep up with all the latest sport news and analysis on ABC listen: ab.co/ABCListenApp

I find this part about him interesting that people doesn’t pick up, he was the first of that many MO in this era who played a counterattack role, it helps to stop a collapse, now top teams also deployed the same thing.
This is an visual representation of my point. Pant is an elite batter, has played in an really difficult era for batting, has some great knocks on very difficult pitches and situations. But he is far from India's true elites on tough pitches.

Was inspired by Shaun Marsh remember, so he probably a TO than an MO, doesn’t play bizarre shots frequently either.
Cooper Connolly: The Grooming of the Future of Australian Batting • First professional century — T20 Cricket playing in the IPL • Second professional century — ODI Cricket against Bangladesh While his highest FC score after 13 games is only 90 !! The Story of a Modern Day Batsman.....

He’s not going anywhere, but I expect his role to change.
Renshaw is absolute idiot he got the chance to fix his place and guess what on the exact time he lost his form #ausvsban #australiacricket

Combine those 2 together and maybe I was wrong, Renshaw is a lower order batter and Connolly is a top order bat, if you last for 134 balls in 35 degree heat and on the field for 97 overs, you have the ability to bat long. @lukeR15sky @colombianps6 @Preetam25046081
What does that means? He’s an opener now? Are they recreating the left left opening partnership again?

2018: Men’s team lost to England in Cardiff ODI Men’s rugby union lost to Ireland Men’s soccer team lost to France at the WC all on same day Now: Men’s soccer beat the Turks at WC Men’s cricket team beat BAN Women’s cricket team beat SA at t20WC @colombianps6 @lukeR15sky
The women’s trounced the Proteas in the t20WC the socceroos just beat the Turkyie in soccer The men’s cricket team better not to let that down today.

Pre 2021 Travis Head that, but cutting is not his shots.
Cooper Connolly playing an absolute gem of an innings 3 Hatrick Sixes to move to 149* Rest of AUS are 117/7 Has lot of flaws but playing high pace is not one of them which is a great thing for a 22 yr old Can become a refined version after moulding himself

Connolly has his 100, AUS ever closer to the ideal day of sport! #BANvAUS

I knew I was right, the best way to use him is like Cameron White or Glenn Maxwell, maybe even Miller, a left hand disruption in the lower order who attack spin. #BANvAUS
Replying to @6worldcups
He just cannot bat at the top, its a skill issue

2026 is AUS cricket annus horribilis, even more embarrassing than SA 2019, the only good thing is that not as severe.
Prevailing sense today is that BBL privatisation is highly unlikely for the coming season due to too much disagreement/uncertainty with CA, states and ACA. Which means Melbourne Renegades likely to play in caretaker mode in 2026-27.

The Argus review does mentioned about this, saying it’s not a good idea to privatize the BBL, as it would result in more conflict and lack of coordination in the future with the domestic scene and the team priority.

Terrible, I wouldn’t imagine they will struggle to 🇲🇦 .
This Brazilian team looks so… sauceless, what’s up with that?

Reading that, and I realized just how ridiculous this idea is, India probably will win, but as you can see, it hasn’t worked for anyone.
MAJOR UPDATE IN PRESS CONFERENCE: India is likely to try different players at Number 3 in this ODI series: Rahul, Jaiswal & Ishan are the options with rotation policy.
