Earlier this month we made a visit to the Kenyan High Commission @kenyamissionuk in London. Our archivist @consularchivist met with staff to return archives from Shimo-La-Tewa Prison to Kenya. The records are now at their permanent home in the Kenya National Archives.
Today's image from the Historic England Archive is a view of Forton Service Station on the M6 motorway, Lancashire. It was photographed #OnThisDay in 1997. The design included a tower restaurant, built in 1964-65.
