Today, Ukrainian drones attacked Moscow’s largest oil refinery. To understand the scale of the strike, a few key facts about Moscow Oil Refinery: - Located just 15 kilometers from the Kremlin. - Supplies up to 40% of Moscow’s gasoline and about 50% of its diesel fuel. - Overall, it meets around 70% of gasoline needs for Russian capital and surrounding region. - One in every three cars in Moscow is fueled by products from this refinery. - Bitumen from the plant is used to build or repair every second street in Moscow. Drones struck and damaged a key refining unit at Moscow oil refinery, likely causing the facility to halt operations for an extended period of time!

Strike after strike by Ukraine's long distance drones on Russia's strategic energy reserves facility in Yaroslavl, with no air defenses of consequence. As all Russian air defenses are now in Moscow or protecting Putin's palaces, Ukraine destroys Russia's entire energy industry.
Among Ukraine's overnight attacks on Russia's military and energy assets was the vast strategic energy storage complex in Rybinsk, in Russia's Yaroslavl Region. Part of Russia's strategic fuel reserve system, Operated by Rosrezerv, the facility stores and redistributes gasoline, diesel, and jet fuel, helping supply military and industrial consumers across western Russia. Located roughly 270 km north of Moscow on key rail and river transport routes, it serves as a major logistics hub. While its exact capacity is classified, its role in storing and moving fuel makes it a significant wartime asset.

Russian Z-bloggers post footage of Ukrainian drones freely flying over Russian-occupied Crimea, attacking fuel trucks and military targets. They predict that soon this will lead to "panic and total collapse of all main roads."
Ukraine is cutting off Russia's logistics in the direction of Crimea. The only remaining route for delivering gasoline and large cargoes to Crimea is the Kerch Bridge. And we remember how beautifully the trucks burn and explode on that Bridge. 📷: October 8, 2022

THIS IS WHERE VASYL MALIUK HAS BEEN! Today, Ukraine finally received an answer to the question that had been on many people’s minds in recent days. SBU chief Vasyl Maliuk was not “on vacation,” “attending meetings,” or “undergoing treatment.” According to reports, he was personally overseeing one of the largest and most complex operations carried out by the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) and the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine (HUR) since the start of the full-scale war. The operation was given the codename “New Web.” Ukrainian special units reportedly launched simultaneous strikes against five Russian airfields deep behind enemy lines. The operation is described as having been so well-coordinated and powerful that Russian forces are still assessing the extent of the damage. According to preliminary reports that have not yet been independently verified: • 15 Russian military aircraft were destroyed or critically damaged. • Among them were Su-34 and Su-35 fighters, as well as strategic bombers. • Aviation ammunition and fuel depots were destroyed. • The operation disrupted several air bases from which Russia had regularly launched missile attacks against Ukrainian cities.

Politico reports Ukraine is increasingly using its Lima electronic warfare system to make Russian drones and missiles miss. Developed by Cascade Systems, Lima jams and spoofs satellite navigation, feeding weapons false coordinates and widening their deviation. More than 400 units have been supplied, with the system used against Shaheds, cruise missiles, ballistic missiles and glide bombs. #Ukraine

The Wall Street Journal is reporting that the DHS Inspector General just opened an audit into a $38 billion warehouse-to-detention scheme that Kristi Noem and her top adviser Corey Lewandowski rammed through. ICE bought 11 vacant warehouses in a matter of months, paying 11 to 13 percent above market value. The properties weren’t even zoned for detention. No working plumbing for thousands of detainees. But Noem and Lewandowski pressured ICE to open them by year’s end anyway. The result? At least $1 billion already spent on nine facilities. Nearly 50 contractors paid $1.7 billion since Trump took office. Companies with zero immigration detention experience suddenly winning massive federal contracts. One firm that didn’t even exist until June 2024 got a $6 million DHS contract this January. Noem is gone. Lewandowski is gone. But the bill is still landing on the taxpayer, and the IG investigation is just getting started. Accountability cannot end when the perpetrators walk out the door. Every contract needs scrutiny. Every dollar needs to be traced. Every official who steered money to inexperienced contractors needs to answer under oath. wsj.com/politics/policy/watc…

Ukraine is preparing a super-weapon that has been kept secret for years. What remained under the strictest secrecy for a long time now appears ready to enter the battlefield. Sources close to the defense industry are speaking about a technology that could radically change the rules of this war. Not just another drone. Not just another missile. Something far more serious — something the Russians are not even expecting to see. Ukrainian engineers worked under the conditions of total war, under constant bombardment, yet the result now seems to have exceeded all expectations.

Not getting enough attention: the one-page order from Todd Blanche to wipe out every audit of Donald Trump. Many experts believe it’s illegal, and here’s why. Federal law prohibits the President or his aides from directing or halting an IRS audit. Agents who carry out a politically motivated audit, or stop one at the direction of the White House, can face prison time. That is the statute on the books. Now look at what just happened. Todd Blanche, the Acting Attorney General and Donald Trump’s former personal criminal defense lawyer, signed a one-page order demanding the IRS drop every existing audit of Trump, his family, and their “affiliates.” One of those audits reportedly could have cost Trump more than $100 million. The Treasury Department’s top lawyer resigned over it. The acting top IRS lawyer had to recuse himself because he previously represented Trump in his tax cases. There is no precedent for an Attorney General ordering an end to audits of a group of taxpayers. Many experts say the Attorney General has no authority to do this. So we have a likely illegal order, signed by the President’s former lawyer, on behalf of the President, protecting the President. And the only people with jurisdiction to investigate it work for the President. I will fight this with every tool I have.
