đź’§Climate Bulletin notes drier-than-average conditions in much western¢ral Europe& eastern regions. Northwestern continental Europe, TĂĽrkiye & Black Sea region saw wetter-than-average conditions. River flow was below average across much central, eastern & northeastern Europe.
❄ Arctic sea ice extent in May was about 4% below average—as reported in the latest #C3S Climate Bulletin—the 4th-lowest for May on record. In the Antarctic, sea ice extent was about 9% below average, making it the seventh-lowest for the month on record.

🌡The May 2026 Climate Bulletin from #CopernicusClimate reports the 2nd-warmest May globally, 1.42°C above the pre-industrial level. Western Europe saw an early & intense heatwave, while the global average sea surface temperature reached 20.90°C, 2nd-highest on record for May.
