With 'Cornucopia Radio' soon coming to an end after 17 years. I think I'm allowed to indulge in a little nostalgia about all my time making audio & podcasts productions here in #Sheffield It's been a crazy ride. What are you own memories of us? - Peter Beeston

Our #internetradio station closes down for good this weekend, and I want to thank all the #spokenword #poetry #comedy #soundart and #audiofiction creators that have allowed me to rebroadcast all their amazing productions over the last 17 years: cornucopia-radio.co.uk The website itself will remain online for years to come though (as an archive) and you'll still be able to play back all the self produced work we created ourselves. I still work as a commercial editor/producer/director (it’s just ‘Cornucopia Radio’ that’s ending; not myself, lol) So I’m still available if you contact me with paid work. Thanks for lending me your ears for all these years - Peter Beeston

Back in 2017 Tom at The Wireless Show passed a copy of a script I’d written to Peter Beeston at @CornucopiaRadio - 5 years later he’d single-handedly produced 22 episodes of @PodToPluto and a whole library of supporting material, sending my comedy writing life into overdrive 1/2

The final @CornucopiaRadio production is a personal story about trying to rediscover your creativity & motivation (which I've struggled with myself these last few years) Sometimes you just need to hear somebody tell you that what you make is important. cornucopia-radio.co.uk/gilde… I hope that if you're also feeling these same emotions; then you might get sometimes out of listening to this final production yourself. Also tell me how you also deal with these same feelings...

Very sorry to hear of the end. Many thanks for hours of entertainment and the chance to meet some great local actors performing my sketches. Loved the chance to appear in Cornwallis Insurance. Happy memories of Henry Stevenson - the H&S Inspector. Thank you.

Coming to an end? Surely not. I've had an amazing time, not least for this incredible piece of art... youtube.com/watch?v=X43zVIzP…

I’ve been so lucky to work with many talented performers & I couldn’t have done this without every single one of you! If you’re a listener, what's been some of your favorite performances? If you're performer who has worked with me, what are some of the best roles I’ve given you?

Our new #audiodrama is online today! Journey into your own imagination; as the headphones you listen to this on will make a physical connection to your limbic system & our visualization therapist will help you imagine a story you’ve always wanted to tell. cornucopia-radio.co.uk/gilde… This is a very special production as it’s going to be the very final production to ever appear on the Cornucopia Radio website. Starring amazing Cornucopia regular performers: @HannahLloyd___ @HousebrokenGeek and @TarkaTheOrator ‘The Gilded Imagination’ is the final production to be produced by Peter Beeston and @CornucopiaRadio before he moves onto other projects. However all the work created over the past 17 years will remain available to listen to via our website and the different podcast feeds, and nothing will be removed in the future. This brand new production (which mixes audio #asmr #roleplay and action #soundscape) is a personal journey that is meant to be a conclusion for ‘Cornucopia Radio’. It’s all about the mindset of a person (who might actually be Peter Beeston) who creates stories like this. Suggesting that all these productions might come from another reality beyond ours...

Starting editing work on a new production this weekend written by myself all about a visualization journey taking place in the listeners own mind. It involves a lot of complex soundscape design and some abstract storytelling #Editing #Writing #Podcast #Storytelling

There will also be elements in the production in which other creative’s talk about their own personal challenges & successes (so this becomes both a non-fictional and fictional piece) So keep an eye open for when I ask fellow creative folk to collaborate with me next month.
