Illicit fentanyl exposures in small children - despite fentanyl's short half-life children who ingest a large amount (like a 4mg tablet) may have severe toxicity and it may last up to 3 days.

In Oregon:
All opioid ODs were fentanyl
- no cases of heroin or Rx opioids or xylazine
Almost all stimulant overdoses were meth
- (1 case was only cannabis-large doses can look like a stimulant)
- No cases of cocaine OD, bath salts, etc
Most subjects use BOTH meth and fentanyl
