I bought a valid MARTA ticket today. But when I went to enter the station, the gates were gaping wide open. No scan, no security, no barrier.
I walked straight to the tracks, rode the train for free, and walked out without a single person stopping me.
In fact, a passenger and MARTA Staff said its a regular thing.

'break a rule' is a pretty broad brush. Any threatening demeanor, aggression, etc should result in consequences. Why are consequences the kryptonite of MARTA riders? It is a privilege to drive, it is also a privilege to use public transport. Just act 'normal' or walk.
