Probability of Significant Loss (PSL), the annualized probability that bad debt exceeds 1% of principal in a given vault or market.
That number maps to a letter grade from A to D.

A risk rating in isolation tells you almost nothing.
Comparison is what makes the number useful. Probability of Significant Loss (PSL) 0.4% means something. It means more when the vault next to it shows PSL 3.2%.
