I had to take my mum to hospital yesterday for an appointment, which led to an xray and some other things. There was a lot of waiting around and Cornish people are really chatty - especially and including me.
They were ALL moaning about "the state of things". Heartbroken they were. They're not on X - most of them were really old. They voted
@Keir_Starmer thinking he'd care for them. One couple, he has bone cancer and although he and his lovely wife have always worked, even though they had 7 children, they come in £5 short of the cut off for winter fuel allowance. The fuel increase means their private carer has gone up. Their boys are all tradesmen, voted Labour, now face ruin if fuel goes up.
Lifelong Labour voters are absolutely disgusted with
@Keir_Starmer. He can ban all the social media he likes, the people effected by his policies think he's a c*nt.
Another lady on her own, had watery eyes as she told me she's terrified how Cornwall has changed so quickly. She voted Moon, thinking he'd really change things after Eustace, but she's disappointed he's not even been seen. She's also going to lose her fuel allowance because she gets her husbands navy pension. Her entire income is about £12k. She said she doesn't put the heating on anyway because she can afford it since Ukraine, but she would "treat" herself to a bath every week - she doesn't think she can afford that now.
A bath. She can't even have a bath.
Labour can supress the X-erati all they like, people know. Their children know. Their grandchildren know.
