It's supposed to be a "Graphical Syllabus," but every time I say it in my head it's a "Graphical Abstract." If science articles can have graphical abstracts, why not a science course? #GraphicalSyllabus #AcademicTwitter

Almost assuredly symptoms from infection by the Cotton leafroll dwarf virus in Georgia cotton. Quite distinct in some varieties. Significant yield loss is rare, but I can’t explain why symptoms like this are typically restricted to a small % of plants in a field. UGA Extension

Found an old friend yesterday in the corn fields of Luzon, Philippines. Philippine Downy Mildew- Peronospora philippeninsis. Definitely a disease our corn growers in the USA don’t need. Truly an impressive pathogen and disease. UGA Extension

And just like that..southern corn rust found and confirmed in SE Georgia, Wayne County this afternoon. Early-planted corn (R3-R4 stage). This is first confirmation of southern rust in GA in 2022. This early find indicates much of the corn in south GA is at risk. UGA Extension.
