Another young life lost to the growing law and order crisis in Haryana.
25-year-old gym owner Kapil was shot dead by bike-borne attackers while working out near Fawwara Chowk in Hansi. The assailants reportedly fired 10 rounds in just 5 seconds before fleeing the scene. A young girl was also injured in the attack.

The issue was never the biryani or the amount spent. The issue is the belief that spending money on a woman creates an obligation.
This should be a wake-up call. Young boys need to be taught that consent is not negotiable, kindness is not a transaction, and respect for women should never depend on how much money was spent.

Comedy can be funny without normalizing disrespect. The moment the conversation shifted from a bad date experience to implying that spending ₹370 on biryani entitled him to something in return, it should have been called out.
Influencers, comedians, and public figures have a responsibility too. Sometimes the right response isn’t laughter it’s drawing a line and reminding people that consent, respect, and dignity are not punchlines.
