🚨Two workers were killed & 5 others injured in a deadly explosion & fire at Glencore’s Kazzinc facility in Ust-Kamenogorsk, Kazakhstan, Tuesday.
A dust-collection unit in the smelting/electrolysis section exploded while workers were cleaning a smoke extractor. This triggered a fire and the partial collapse of a building structure.
This event highlights the fragility of concentrated critical minerals supply chains .
