"All you need is one perfect substitute for yourself." Claudia Goldin addresses the challenges facing modern women. Her research illustrates how and why gender differences in earnings and employment rates have changed over time in the United States. She explains this pattern as the result of structural change and evolving social norms regarding women’s responsibilities for home and family. Our findings suggest that: • Stroke severity is partly time-of-day dependent • NETosis contributes to collateral dysfunction • Chronobiology should be considered in stroke pathophysiology and therapy Timing may matter as much as the intervention.
