She was paid $6700 (after taxes!) for a month of work. That’s about double the median salary of most Americans. Millions of people would kill to work for minimum wage (or even nothing) to get to work on a project like this. She took no financial risk on it if it wasn’t successful. But because it is successful, she’s backstabbing all her colleagues for a paycheck. The very nature of low budget independent filmmaking is working long hours, wearing many hats, and helping each other out. You do it because it’s what you love. But this is the entitlement culture we live in: Someone thinking that just because they showed up and did their job for the agreed upon salary, they’re entitled to the sun, the moon, and the stars, simply because the work was demanding. Welcome to independent filmmaking! 🤦🏻‍♂️ You would think somebody would view this experience as the win of the century! You went from being a nobody to being the Art Director of the biggest movie of the year! That should open countless doors for you. Top girl is an informant you meet for like 1 minute, there's nothing wrong with Moneypenny. But when you look at Roth or Theresea this narrative breaks cause there's plenty of women in the game. Not to mention every other mission whenever Bond walks by a woman she comments about sleeping with him, especially in the Vietnam level. Every woman in the Vietnam level wants to sleep with Bond, it's all over. I believe he sleeps with 3 women in this game at least, not to mention if you seduce the girlfriend of the guy you beat up in the bathroom, she ruins your cover when you speak to the tattooed girl for intel, which I thought was funny. I bought the game physically to keep it sealed, if that matters to you. I wasn't paid off in any way here. But no, I still don't like DEI in games, but losing your mind at the sight of someone not white is not the way to do this. It comes down to messaging, characters can be non white & fine, look at Captain Anderson in Mass Effect, Johnson in Halo to name a few. You can't just lash out like this cause it will just make people take you less seriously. If there was a moment where Bond gets sidelined by the female characters, I would point it out, but it doesn't happen. He gets saved once by a woman in the game, but it's a culmination of his relationship with said woman throughout the entire game, she does it even though it goes against her nature. And you can't even claim James Bond is not capable in this game, the dude is 100% your "alpha male" character if you want that. People need to relax, it's a good game. Try it yourself, you'll see a lot of the problems you're seeing aren't really there. Disappointing to see the manufactered backlash here where it's not needed.
