Finally got around to watching Gundam GQuuuX. Heard a lot of mixed things going in but I came out fucking with it heavy. I agree it could have/should have been longer than 12 EPs but it was able to capture a lot of raw emotion in that time frame that I really connected with

On one hand, yes the series does have an obsessives infatuation with Char and CCA that it hasn't been able to escape. Continuously repeating or remaking bits and pieces of its story and characters over and over for the past 30 years

On the other hand it fully embraces the cyclical nature these stories are about with humanity trying and failing to change. Its why the two Hathaway films feel so fresh because try as we might we have failed to change and need to find a new path forward

Think people are going about this whole "remakes don't replace the originals" thing all wrong by mentioning stuff like things getting delisted (which is rare), the fact is most people will buy and play the new version without giving the old one a second thought.

As a native New Yorker it really irks me to see people going into the deli and looking at the menu. It's a quick way to out yourself as a transplant. Real New Yorkers just know what ingerdients delis have and order something without looking at the menu.

Watched Hades Project Zeorymer and it was fucking sweet. I need more horror mecha where its framed as this imposing god machine that no one can fuck with. The low angles make this thing seem terrifying and unstoppable

Feels so good to go to the movies an have a wonderful viewing experience. Still thinking about the whole ending sequence in Hathaway 2 after it being like 2 weeks since seeing it. That shit was exactly the audio visual experience I've been craving.
