WAPDA paid another Rs. 677.7 million to the affectees of Harban, Upper Kohistan, as land compensation for the Diamer Basha Dam Project. Total compensation paid to the project affectees has now reached Rs. 64.24 billion.

The classes for the 2nd batch of the Vocational Training Program have been formally inaugurated at the Vocational Training Institute established in Harpan Das Village, Chilas. Under this initiative, more than 200 students from Diamer will receive training in 7 technical trades.

The 23rd batch at WAPDA Cadet College Tarbela has officially started. This year,10 students from Dist Diamer earned admission on merit and are studying on full WAPDA scholarships. Altogether, 20 students from Diamer are currently enrolled at the college with scholarship support.
