My great great grandparents were murdered in Auschwitz. My great grandmother lived under the Nuremberg laws. My grandmother survived Bergen Belsen. Jews, despite the anguish, never forget: we will survive this too. But the trauma is imprinted on our genes.

🔥 NEW: Fox’s Ben Domenech: “This President has been the best foreign policy president of my lifetime. I think he has been incredibly bold, used American power to restore our sovereignty, and protect our interests and look out for the American people.” “I think it was a gutsy call for him to go into Iran when he did. He didn’t have to do it but he did and he thought it was the right time. I still think that was the right decision.” “This deal and everything we know about it to the degree it is being spun by this administration: everything about this deal seems bad to me. It all seems like a setback. It doesn’t meet any of the measures the president put out there of his goals for this conflict,” adds @bdomenech to @BretBaier. “At some point the Republican party needs to decide which kind of foreign policy it’s going to have. An American first policy.. or are we going to backslide into being some kind of ‘hillbilly Obama’ kind of GOP? That’s not something that is acceptable to me and it shouldn’t be acceptable to Republicans or any conservative who is interested in the success of America.”

New: The NYT is reviewing Nick Kristof's columns after he failed to disclose ex donor ties in a series of columns. When Kristof returned to the paper after a failed bid for governor of Oregon, the NYT said he would disclose financial ties when writing about former donors.

This is extraordinary. Graham Platner's former political director making the case for why voters shouldn't elect him: "I know firsthand why Graham Platner shouldn’t be a U.S. senator"

The rare political operative who actually put that intangible something - morality, decency, goodness - ahead of a political goal. I didn’t believe these people existed anymore.

NYC gems are funded by millionaires, billionaires & large corporations (very little from city hall): • Central Park – Central Park Conservancy raises ~80% of operating budget via donations
• High Line – Friends of the High Line funds nearly 100% of operations privately
• Prospect Park – Prospect Park Alliance covers majority of costs through donations
• Madison Square Park – Fully funded by Madison Square Park Conservancy donations • The Met – Heavily reliant on endowments, memberships & private gifts
• The Frick Collection – Primarily donation & endowment funded
• MoMA, Whitney, Guggenheim, Riverside, Washington Square, etc.

So you’re saying anti Zionism and antisemitism are the same. Agreed.
This is a truly disgusting, antisemitic comment. I’m appalled at the level of bigotry and xenophobia that has become normalized in our politics. We cannot accept it, and we must call it out regardless of what party or individual it comes from. The Republican super PACs spending to prop up her candidacy also must be called out and condemned for weaponizing a system that enables dark money to flood our elections, suppress votes, and drown out the actual will of the people.

First current political candidate suggests concentration camps for American Jews. This should be national news! National Democratic leaders must call this out immediately
TX-35 Democratic candidate Maureen Galindo says she will convert ICE detention center in Karnes County into an internment camp for "American Zionists." "It will also be a castration processing center for pedophiles, which will probably be most of the Zionists," she added.

To summarize the journalistic ethics on display at @nytimes this week: 1) accusations of things as absurd as dog rape of humans requires no evidence before reporting 2) statements from former heads of state saying they feel they were misrepresented in an interview go unremarked, included, updated, addressed in any way. The paper of record. Our gold standards! And we wonder why people hate and distrust the media.

According to the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, children between the ages of 8 and 18 average 7½ hours of screen time per day. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends no more than one hour a day for children ages 2 to 5. Two-year-olds today average more than twice that. The mental health data that follows is not subtle: According to a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention report, teens in 2021-2023 spending four or more hours a day on social media showed anxiety and depression symptoms at more than double the rate of those with less exposure. There’s an ancient solution to these modern problems: Shabbat.

"Yet Olmert later said that Kristof misrepresented their conversation. In a statement sent to The New York Times and obtained by The Free Press, Olmert said: “Mr. Kristof’s article includes claims of extraordinary gravity: that Israeli authorities have directed the rape of children, that dogs have been used as instruments of sexual assault, that systematic sexual torture is state policy. I did not validate these claims. I have no knowledge supporting these claims as I said to Mr. Kristof. Therefore, the positioning of my quote after pages of such allegations misrepresents my views.” thefp.com/p/nick-kristof-dog…

Of note: The @nytimes is standing by @NickKristof "reporting." Meanwhile: the biggest bombshell in the entire piece, the idea that a former Israeli Prime Minister was giving credence to his reporting, has now been completely debunked. Olmert's statement was sent to the NYT. This is not a random source who feels misrepresented - it's a former PM who is very much the pinnacle of the piece. The fact that NYT haven't done anything with this is gross journalistic malpractice.
Just received a copy of Ehud Olmert’s statement on the Kristof column he sent to NYT. Full story coming soon. “Mr. Kristof's article includes claims of extraordinary gravity: that Israeli authorities have directed the rape of children, that dogs have been used as instruments of sexual assault, that systematic sexual torture is state policy. I did not validate these claims. I have no knowledge supporting these claims as I said to Mr. Kristof. Therefore, the positioning of my quote after pages of such allegations misrepresents my views."
