I was looking forward to participating in and speaking at WebSummit. In light of these comments that show a complete lack of moral clarity, I have no choice but to cancel my participation. I know I am joining several other people in making this decision.
I unequivocally condemn the actions of terrorists in targeting civilians, and I fully support the right and obligation of the Israeli government to defend its people in accordance with international law and humanitarian principles. I expect responsible public figures such as yourself to do the same.

This is Abad El Rahman Alansasra, a Muslim Israeli-Arab.
Abad drove young people escaping from the Nova party to safety under live fire, saving countless lives until he was shot at the entrance to the kibbutz. He left behind a wife and 7 children. I don’t know how many lives he saved.
Terrorists - you will never have this!
Hamas slaughtered every person - Jewish and Muslim, young and old.
This is Awad Darawshe, a Muslim paramedic who raced to the site of the music festival massacre to treat the wounded.
He too was murdered by Hamas. His ambulance was stolen and driven into Gaza.
May Awad’s memory be a blessing.
My college friend, former colleague, and mentor @htaneja is at the White House among a very select group of SV folk meeting PM Modi and President Biden.
I have known him to be reserved regarding personal stuff on social media for 15 years so I will say this for him: it is so f'ing awesome! This immigrant boy from New Delhi fully earned his seat on that table. He is a brilliant mind, and hustled and worked hard for more than 2 decades to now rank as a most prominent VC in SV.
Proud of you!
We saw the first memetic, social-media fueled bank run in history Thursday and Friday. As my partners and I spend the weekend working to help our portfolio companies, you can be sure our foreign adversaries are ramping up social media disinfo campaigns to fuel further bank runs.

4. Investors, remember that you make your money in good times, while you make your reputation in bad times. It's easy to be short-term focused and be the "sorry, don't care" investor, but I promise it will come back to bite you one day.
"We need to move to a model where all product and engineering teams (not just shared services) publish APIs so that other teams can benefit from what they’re building without ever needing to schedule a meeting."
