Today, I discussed how the District is supporting residents who may be impacted by new SNAP work requirements. Starting June 1, when applying or recertifying for SNAP, residents will be notified if they must meet new federal requirements.

We are deeply grateful for Chancellor Ferebee’s eight years of service to our students, schools, and city.
Under the leadership of our longest-serving Chancellor, graduation rates reached 78%, enrollment grew to more than 52,000 students, and DC became a national leader in academic recovery.
These achievements are the result of clear focus, strong vision, and a shared commitment to our students.
