Defence Primary Healthcare provides general practice, dental, mental health, occupational health and rehabilitation care to HM Armed Forces. @DMS_MilMed
Twitter is a great place to share ideas but it’s not the best place to deal with personal matters. If you would like to help improve DPHC by making a comment about your care, please use your medical or dental centre’s comments process. Go to myhealthcarehub or ask at reception.
Give this team a massive👏👏, they have completed the @SuperheroTri!! Getting DMRC patients to an event like this takes a lot of focused rehab & behind the scenes activity but they have smashed it. We could not be prouder of this group!! 💜Donate here: justgiving.com/page/complex-…
Whitespace is important. Get to know your team away from the office and share in a positive experience together. Thanks to @HMS_Raleigh team for hosting us this morning at the DRIU!
The #InvictusGames are coming home! 🇬🇧
Today Veterans Minister @AlistairCarns rolled up his sleeves to try out pickleball 🏓 and laser-run 🔫, sports which will make their debut at @Birmingham2027.
The city won the bid to host the Games, backed by @VeteransGovUK and the MOD 🏆.
Proud that @dms_dmrc have been able to play a vital part in the development of the rehabilitation pathway in support of our Ukrainian colleagues 🇬🇧🇺🇦

It was an absolute delight to be back at St Mawgan yesterday to see DG open the new medical centre, part of the Culdrose Combined Practice. It was also wonderful to catch up for a cream tea with my dear friend Dr Liz Cohen. #jamfirst@ClareWaltonRAF@DMS_MilMed@RAFStMawgan
Director Healthcare and I were delighted to welcome DG DMS and our DPHC award winners to the 10th Anniversary dinner. Thank you all for your work in support of our patients. @DMS_MilMed@LauraAF12
This is a great little bit of work by some of our Foundation Doctors in Defence. NHS GP posts are increasingly hard for Defence to access, but what are the pros and cons to doing #MilitaryGP in F2?

Thanks very much for the kind words @Philintime who I’m sure you’ll all agree has expertly helmed the DPHC ship (😀) for the last 2 1/2 years…best of luck for your future ventures Phil
The value of leave…I hope everyone has managed to get some time away with family/friends this summer…so good for our collective mental health and well-being. Here’s mine (no prizes for guessing location 😀)
As many will know, I now formally hand over responsibility for leading the brilliant team at Defence Primary Healthcare to my friend Surgeon Commodore Andy Nelstrop. It has been an honour to serve alongside so many committed people. Armed Forces Health is in very good hands.
Combat Medical Technicians from 12 (C) Squadron will be undertaking 24 hours of continuous CPR to raise awareness of this life-saving skill.
They will be raising money for SSAFA and the British Heart Foundation.

So good to see members of the @ArmyMedServices and @RoyalNavy Medical Services on the pitch today at the #ArmyNavy#Rugby@DMS_MilMed. Sport is such an important part of the ethos of the armed forces and the medical services. The ability to dig deep and keep going is essential.
