DPHC is full of people who genuinely want you to succeed. I’ve been supported, challenged, mentored, and trusted. That trust has meant everything. It’s allowed me to grow into this role without losing my identity as a paramedic- and for that I have to thank my RMO!

2025- I started the year on a huge high by winning a Yorkshire and Humber infant feeding award and then passing my MERT course. After that I pretty much went straight out on a deployment to the Falklands as the Med Senior for trade training- a great insight into the life of a Sgt and opportunities civvies literally pay thousands for! Once home, lots of field exercises, some med cover for VJ Day, then straight into a Med Sgt job within DPHC alongside still doing shift work and teaching courses. I also joined the Battle Buddies scheme, supporting veterans in care homes by linking them up with a person currently serving.

Strengthening Immunization: Chigari Foundation Sensitises Shagari LGA On Saturday, 20 September 2025, @chigari_ngo joined a high-level delegation for a focused sensitisation visit to the District Heads of Shagari and Dandanmahe in Shagari Local Government Area of Sokoto State. The meeting addressed urgent issues around polio eradication, the strengthening of routine immunization services, and the operational challenges hindering full implementation in the LGA. Of particular concern was the recent confirmation of three cases of circulating vaccine-derived poliovirus type 2 (cVDPV2) within the same ward — a development that underscores the urgent need for intensified community mobilisation and strengthened coordination among stakeholders. In attendance were representatives from the LGA Team, the Director of Primary Health Care (DPHC), the Vice Chairman of the LGA, district leadership, and development partners including @WHONigeria, @UNICEF_Nigeria, @SCIDaR_, and #Mcking. Traditional and religious leaders, together with other respected community figures, participated actively in the discussions. Their leadership and trust-building role remain vital to ensuring that every child is reached with lifesaving vaccines and that communities understand and support vaccination efforts. This joint engagement demonstrates a renewed commitment by government structures, traditional institutions, development partners, and community leaders to work hand-in-hand to defeat polio and advance child health in Shagari LGA. @chigari_ngo reaffirms its dedication to community-centred action and calls on all residents to support routine immunization and outreach activities that protect children and secure a healthier future for the LGA. #ChigariFoundation #ShagariLGA #EndPolioNow #cVDPV2 #RoutineImmunization #VaccinesWork #ChildHealth #CommunityEngagement #LeaveNoChildBehind #HealthForAll #WHO #UNICEF #TraditionalLeaders #PartnerForHealth

Sugs Lloyd Limited SME IPO Closing Today Applying 👍 Company is an Electrical Transmission and Distribution (46% Revenue), Solar EPC (43% Revenue) and India's Largest Manufacturer Of Fault Passage Indicators (FPIs) Company Raising 85.6 Cr, Majorly for Working Capital, the backcalculation suggests approx 70-80% growth Hence priced at roughly 10.5× FY26 Company has started operations in Transmission and also bidded for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) The Fault Passage Indicator (FPI) is an unique product in which it competes with Schneider and Siemens (This equipment is used to easily locate faults in Electrical lines used by Discoms and Private utilities, company was the Pioneer in bringing loop automation and FPIs in India); Company claims 50% market share in India Clientele : BREDA, NTPC, TATA Power, DPHC, Indian Railways, Multiple State Discoms, Etc. Promoter quality is strong, Good sectors and outlook, Attractive Valuations Good thing to note is the Company and Promoters have no pending legal Litigations, Tax matters which is rare In these businesses Has a management interaction (Posting the interview above this post); The management is seeing no issues on the trade Recievables Part Few risks include Client Concentration, Some stretched working capital and Dependance on Government Sad to see that the company opting for SME IPO, could have easily came in Mainboard in next 6 months

Ironically I've built in industry what I was trying to do at the @DMS_MilMed when I was the DPHC WO1. The military has the licenses and IT to do it, I was just told to "stay in my lane" by a dentist who for some reason carved out a niche as a staff officer.

Years ago as I was leaving Stonehouse I took this photo of the sign at the entrance, with the plan of getting a refurbished one made as a gift for them. DPHC got involved and said all signage would be branded as theirs so I never went ahead with it.

Last week, our team in Niger State, where we began operating our program in December 2024, supported the hosting of our quarterly Directors of Primary Health Care (DPHC) meeting with the Niger State Ministry for Primary Health Care team. The meeting brought together key players in the state’s immunization landscape to discuss ways to improve vaccine coverage, ensure reliable supply and distribution, and address non-compliance at the local level. We were honored by the presence of the Permanent Secretary of the Niger State Ministry for Primary Health Care, the Program Manager, and Directors of Primary Health Care from all 11 implementing LGAs. Also in attendance were representatives from Chigari Foundation, World Health Organization (WHO), and Sydani Group. We’re encouraged by the Niger State team’s commitment and look forward to continued collaboration to increase immunization uptake and protect more children across Niger State from vaccine-preventable diseases.
