I'm not gonna post on this site anymore, whilst it's X. Not gonna delete my account, cos I pray someone saves this genuinely valuable asset from a petulant man child who doesn't understand the world or his privilege. I'm totally gutted he's ruining this Hope to see you all soon

Only social media i have, deleting now. Utterly utterly gutted some wanker billionaire has ruined something I cared so dearly about because he has such a fragile ego. Nevermind mind the fact his wealth is the reason other people starve. Way to go @elonmusk another win for you.

I literally can't stand opening twitter since I have to touch the x icon anymore. Sadly I think that says more about me than I'm willing to admit. Complicit in not calling out how more fascist twitter has become, until a literal dystopian r/w logo appeared on my phone.

@elonmusk going full frontal with his views. Shame on me for thinking he was an idiot fucking up a really good social platform. He's clearly far worse than that.

If you’re in any way interested in a job like this, apply. In my experience You develop so much just by putting together an application, more if you get an interview. The experience is invaluable even (or maybe especially) if you don’t get the job.
We're seeking our next Artistic Director & CEO, after 13 brilliant years of David Byrne's tenure. Creating & resourcing a new vision for New Diorama, we're looking for new leadership at the UK's most influential studio theatre. To Apply: bit.ly/NDTAD

This is what I’m asking: is being a racist a “lawful political viewpoint”? This is important. If football clubs ban fans for racism and we all support them in that, then why aren’t we supporting this bank when they do the same thing? Our PM is now saying “if a racist can’t put money in a bank, then what kind of country are we?” Explain this to me.
Replying to @omid9
You serious ? Restricting someone's ability to bank based on their lawful political opinions has no place in a civilised and free society. If it happened to Farage, it could happen to you. Freedom of speech is not a negotiable plus - it's essential to how our democracy functions.

My geography is appalling but, growing up in Bristol I don't remember a beach. Or one in London either. No idea if the stats here are true or not, I didn't read them cos these aren't coastal cities.
26 Jul 2023
Contrary to popular belief, coastal towns in Britain are very very prosperous. . . Edinburgh. Aberdeen. Brighton. Bournemouth. Bristol. Cardiff. London. . . Oh you didn't mean places like that? You only mean the poor places? Well they're poor then. By definition.

Or Cardiff for matter. There's beaches close by, maybe technically within its boundaries, but it's not a coastal city. Or Edinburgh too. How often have you gone to Edinburgh for the beach? Without even reading the thread, this stinks of a bullshit point of view.

This thread has been re-discovered today it seems. If the BBC is going to apologise for anything, I hope it’s for its total and abject failure to critically report on Nigel Farage
Britain has a Russia problem. And his name is Nigel Farage. Today, Ofcom finally banned RT. 8 long years after Russia illegally invaded Crimea. But this is their man. RT - whose editor described it as a "weapon" of the Russian state - is what made Farage into who is today. 1/

It's fucking hard dealing with the passing of Sinead O'connor who, alongside being an outstanding singer, spoke up for people being sexually abused when no one else would. It's even worse hearing it on the day Kevin Spacey gets to walk limp free from court Zero lessons learnt

All anyone wanted was a functional platform that called out fascists. I feel like we're getting the opposite, with a new logo to boot that looks pretty First Order/Empire to me.
Replying to @lindayaX
For years, fans and critics alike have pushed Twitter to dream bigger, to innovate faster, and to fulfill our great potential. X will do that and more. We’ve already started to see X take shape over the past 8 months through our rapid feature launches, but we’re just getting started.
