Palantir's involvement in UK government digital delivery is interesting because I have almost no issues with their moral positions and other actions. But I am still pretty sceptical of their involvement.

Presumably this Fable 5 stuff seals the deal on Palantir getting booted out of the NHS. No hard feelings, but we can't be outsourcing core tech to the USA given this surely?

My hot take on this AI export control story is that I don't know how far behind the open source (Chinese) models are and will be and I don't know far Mistral (French) both open and closed source models are and will be.

We have re-run our ErdosBench smoke test on 14 problems with Kimi 2.7, Qwen 3.7 Max, Grok 4.3 and compared it with the top performers from previous runs.
Kimi 2.7 is amazingly good. More below.

A few from the right in replies demanding I set out more clearly a "theory of growth". Competition. Markets. Invisible hands. Part of the Thatcher legacy is the need even on the right for a big central plan. A big expert-led strategy. We've got to snap out of it.
