Said the offseason was time to trade Painter. I would love to see him turn it around, and he may. Just doesn’t jive with this team’s trajectory. HIS MECHANICS ARE PREVENTING HIM FROM GETTING EXTENSION. The team needs to fix it! Just like Crawford’s hands. Coaching????

So disappointed in Painter’s performance…not in him, but on the staff. He’s been throwing uphill. A mechanical tweak would easily fix this. What are we waiting for????

Having watched Marsh for 3 straight spring trainings, he is the most likable Phillie and easy to root for. Prior to this season, I didn’t believe in the bat. Hoping this is a tangible improvement.

Watched Painter all spring, said it then, he is not getting full extension which causes all of his stuff to either flatten or lack carry. He gets a little stuck on his back leg which limits his extension. Power5 bullpen could fix it in two weeks. #power5bullpen

Problem with the Phils is it seems like SSDD. Dombo had to change it up and didn’t. Phans aren’t willing to go through the grind knowing the outcome looks similar

If my math is mathing. Team USA gets into quarter finals if:
1. Italy beats Mexico tomorrow (any score at all)
• Italy goes 4-0, Mexico drops to 2-2.
• USA takes 2nd place automatically. No tiebreaker needed.
OR
2. If Mexico beats Italy tomorrow, USA gets in if:
• Mexico scores 5 or more runs (examples: 5-4, 5-0, 6-3, 7-2, 8-5, 9-1, 10-4 — anything 5 )
• OR Italy scores 6 or more runs against Mexico (examples: Mexico wins 7-6, 8-6, 9-7, 10-8, 11-6 — any shootout)
Only way USA is OUT: Mexico wins a very low-scoring game where they score 4 or fewer AND Italy scores 5 or fewer.
Examples of bad scores (USA eliminated):
4-3, 4-2, 4-1, 4-0, 3-2, 3-1, 3-0, 2-1, 2-0, 1-0, etc.

Imagine this! Notre Dame Stadium, Irish home game. We see on the board the Irish team be led in prayer. Immediately afterwards we hear the "dong" that we usually get. But after that first one instead of it being repeated, we see the players coming out of the locker room and while that's happening, the first 1:10 of this speech gets played! Then the players come out to "Here Come The Irish"
That would be amazing and should happen before every home game in 2026, and imagine it for the night games with the lights out!

The Phillies main issue is that their minor league system has not developed enough talent to supplement the high $ players enough. They are basically at a level of spending that has them uncomfortable How is it possible the Dodgers have the #1 system, picking last every year?.🧵

..They Must hit on Painter, Miller and Crawford! Doing so will allow them to be creative as a lot of $ comes off the roster next year. Gotta extend Luzardo and hope on Painter, as the rotation would be solid after Wheeler is done. Miller lets you move on from Bohm/Stott.
