Day 2 of spirit week is heroes and villains day, so teachers and students came wearing capes, costumes, and accessories showing off their favorite characters.

DVFriends is kicking off spirit week with its first themed day, beach day! Even though it was rainy outside, students came to school wearing their best beach fashion.

Yesterday was the 10th-grade service trip! Students went to Pete’s Produce Farm/Warehouse, where they helped plant, maintain, and harvest crops, packed Senior Food Boxes, and created Weekend Backpack food bags for students.

9th graders had their annual overnight trip to Princeton-Blairstown Center. This trip is designed to encourage our students to build positive friendships. Activities included low and high rope courses, team-building exercises, a night hike, and relaxing by a campfire.

Upper Schoolers went on teambuilding trips!

ALT 11th graders went to Marsh Creek for boat orienteering. They worked in teams to navigate their boats around Marsh Creek using only maps and a compass.
ALT 12th graders spent time canoeing on the gorgeous Brandywine River!
ALT 9th graders visited Philly Goat Project, where they had the opportunity to play and hang out with goats while learning about sustainability and community building.
ALT 10th grade went on a scavenger hunt in Old City Philadelphia. They had to find some of Philly’s historic landmarks and locals.
