They probably sold poorly and Capcom realized that it wasn't worth the PR hit. Everyone should do this with every other game too.
Capcom is removing almost all microtransactions from Dragon's Dogma 2 in an upcoming update.
The full game will also receive a permanent discount on the PlayStation, Xbox, and Steam stores.

Tomb Raider larp isn't quite as bad as Resident Evil but it's still hilarious when people obviously try to characterize Lara from pop culture reference instead of...the actual games she is in.
we need to start setting a rule were you’re only allowed to tweet/talk about tomb raider if you’ve played and COMPLETED at least 3 *classic* games WITH EVIDENCE because it seems everyone and their mother wants to be an expert on this franchise without playing a single game

Let it be known: female protagonists in gaming wouldn't be where they are today without Ellie Williams. She helped bring them into the mainstream and proved they could lead some of gaming's greatest stories. So whenever you see a peak female protagonist, be grateful for Ellie🐐

Female protagonists have been part of mainstream gaming since at least the 1980s. Samus Aran from Metroid (1986) and Lara Croft from Tomb Raider (1996) were influential long before Ellie in 2013.

This level of AI psychosis has to be some mental illness.
Day 1 of building GTA 6. Still feels fake typing that out.
Upgraded to Claude Max 20x just for this. Spent a couple hours getting the whole project structured and pushed to the repo. Sandbox is up and running.
No studio, no publisher. Just whoever shows up. We picked Godot on purpose: it's community-owned, so nobody can pull an EPIC on us later and rewrite the deal once we're invested.
The goal: beat the real GTA 6 to launch. Ambitious, probably stupid, doing it anyway.
If you can model, code, build levels, or write music and lore, come join.

People shit on Shadow but it was Rise that introduced many of the problems in this trilogy, namely completely resetting Lara's characterization from 2013 and then not moving the character forward in any meaningful way. Also Shadow is just a better game but that's obviously IMO.
