I understand many who have played D2 all the way up to now won't have much more to do after a couple months of grinding this last update and are possibly burnt out, but I stopped playing on Lightfall. This means I will have SO much to do and to catch up on for possibly the next year or 2. I don't want the game to end, but I will say that I don't have the fomo of "missing out" anymore from the dumb Live Service structure they operated on. I can grind with a full time job, on my own time now. No more content getting deleted. No more $100 a year for DLC content and seasons that come and go. It's ALL finally here to stay for me to enjoy whenever I like. Sucks no old content will return, but at least I can still watch @MyNameIsByf to remember the fun we had in the past. #WeWantDestiny3

So many old players won't be considered vets because they didn't play the last 1 or 2 DLCs where the game just wasn't as good. I guess good job to those who stuck it out to Final Shape. I got tired of paying $100 a year for content that was getting removed.
We've seen some questions about the Old Lights emblem and the Elemental Qi emote, and we want to clarify how we are determining eligibility. Did your Bungie ID and your accounts — across all platforms that you have linked to it between September 6, 2017 - June 8, 2026 — login and play Destiny 2 at least once during ALL of these time periods? ⚪ Destiny 2 Launch: September 6, 2017 - September 3, 2018 🪦 Forsaken: September 4, 2018 - September 30, 2019 🌕 Shadowkeep: October 1, 2019 - November 9, 2020 🧊 Beyond Light: November 10, 2020 - February 21, 2022 👑 Witch Queen: February 22, 2022 - February 27, 2023 ❇️ Lightfall: February 28, 2023 - June 3, 2024 🔺 The Final Shape: June 4, 2024 - July 14, 2025 👁️ The Year of Prophecy: July 15, 2025 - June 8, 2026 If you can answer yes to ALL of these time periods, then you will receive the Old Lights emblem and the Elemental Qi emote during the Monument of Triumph launch window.

Just a little update...I don't even have my Xbox hooked up. I may hook it up for June 9th for Destiny 2 update. I've been kinda busy working on land for our new home. Been packing up everything in the house to prepare for the move. Got the perc test done. Now just waiting on paperwork. Once I'm done and the transition goes smoothly, you'll see me again.

The company I work for is already working on an AI machine to inspect the parts through visuals and X-ray. Once they get it to work optimally, it will probably replace most of the inspectors.
Marco Rubio warns Americans to prepare now for a future where artificial intelligence rapidly replaces millions of jobs, forcing workers to learn new skills or risk being left behind. Rubio says the AI revolution won't just threaten blue-collar work, warning that millions of white-collar professionals could soon find themselves replaced by machines. "There will be white-collar jobs that will be impacted." "That over time could destabilize societies all over the world."

I'm just going to say... This finale @DestinyTheGame update has so many things I have been asking for even when the game first launched in D1 days. I quit when Lightfall Dropped... this update will definitely bring me back now that I don't have to worry about "missing out" on content. It'll ALL be there, ready to grind when I am able. I know I wish you guys could bring back ALL the past raids and season quests to give a point A to Z way of telling the whole story, but I also know mistakes were made, lawsuits prevent that, and you guys are trying to give it your best in this last effort to making this the best gaming experience to the entire community for the next year or 2, possibly longer? Who knows. @tmxabson13 Bro...I miss you man. I've been tagging you lately. We got to grind once again. It's time for this Hunter main to now get lessons from his pupil. 😂 Eyes up Guardian!

I'm actually not against this. GTA6 is already going to kill player counts enough. Fable needs its own stage. I feel after instead of before is the best move.
Xbox has delayed Fable to February 2027. “We’re moving Fable to February 2027 so it can have the dedicated moment it deserves,” the team announced. The new release date gives developer more time to work on the game and helps it avoid the crowded holiday season. Fans will get another look at Fable at the Xbox Games Showcase on June 7.

I honestly have reached a point of just sticking to what I understand to work for myself, and what my body seems to understand works. We know the truth. If it helps me heal or feel better, that's what I stick with. That simple.
When they own the information, they can bend it all they want

BROO!!!!!! They FINALLY did it!!! @tmxabson13
I was so bummed I didn't quite realize how big the June 9th update would be. I don't think we've ever received so much content from a free update. Too bad it'll be the last one 😔

To be fair...I want to believe this still happens, but every job I have worked at, they have hired No Name college students as our CEO bosses instead of long time company managers who deserve it. The highest promotion I have ever seen a worker receive is a Store Manager. After that, it's usually been someone with a college degree who has no idea how to run the business at all. Not saying it couldn't be done, but in my area it's unlikely. (Unless you just simply start your own business.)
baby boomers still think you can work your way up from cashier to executive because during their lifetimes it still was possible. thats how bad theyve fucked things up. we went from a country where this was possible to losing that in a single generation, to make a few extra bucks

Is it just me, or does anyone else feel more compelled to play now just for the sheer fact they are ending the live service crap? Do we get to actually complete the game? Do we actually get to keep metas around? Do we finally get to grind while having a 9 to 5 Job? Do we get to actually KEEP our DLCs and content? Big question...will they include old, vaulted Content? Just saying....
Read the full blog at bung.ie/d2_may_21_2026 For almost twelve years, we have had the joy and honor to explore the Destiny universe with you all. Through all the ups and downs, surprises and triumphs, building Destiny alongside our players has been a monumental privilege. While our love for Destiny 2 has not changed, it has become clear that after The Final Shape, we have reached the time for our shared worlds, and Destiny, to live beyond Destiny 2. As our focus turns towards a new beginning for Bungie, we will begin work incubating our next games. To that end, on June 9, 2026, we will release the final live-service content update for Destiny 2 to begin that new journey as a studio. Though active development may be concluding, we will ensure that Destiny 2 remains playable, just as the original Destiny is today. Many changes in this final update will aim to ensure that Destiny 2 is a welcoming place for players to return to. We’re proud of Destiny 2, the places it took us, and the legacy it has created. Because of you all, our universe is vast, built on years of shared stories, adventures, and victories. From the Cosmodrome to the Pale Heart to the Lawless Frontier, we have forged life-long memories and friendships with you all. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who made that journey with us. From the deepest part of our hearts, thank you, and we'll see you in the stars.

Japan just turned thin air into fuel. No oil rigs. No drilling. No pipelines stretching across oceans. Just water, CO₂, and a process that flips combustion on its head. ENEOS Corporation, Japan's biggest oil refiner, pulled it off at their Yokohama lab. They built a demo plant that sucks carbon dioxide straight from the atmosphere, splits hydrogen out of water using renewable energy, then fuses them through Fischer-Tropsch synthesis into liquid hydrocarbons. The result? Real, usable synthetic petroleum. The kicker: this fuel is "drop-in ready." That means it works in the cars you already drive, the planes already in the sky, the pipelines already in the ground. Zero modifications. They didn't just brew it in a beaker either. They ran actual vehicles on it. It works. Think about what that unlocks. Countries with no oil reserves could manufacture their own fuel using nothing but sunlight, wind, and the air around them. The geopolitical chessboard would flip overnight. Sectors that electrification can't easily touch, like aviation and heavy shipping, suddenly have a clean fuel path. There's a catch, though. The process is hungry. The same electricity it takes to brew one liter of synthetic fuel could push an EV about 200 km down the road. ENEOS quietly shelved the project in 2025 because the economics didn't math out yet. But the science? Proven. The blueprint exists. Someone, somewhere, will crack the cost problem. And the day they do, the oil map of the planet gets redrawn. Source: ENEOS Corporation / TheTownHall(.)News

Fun fact. Only around 0.0000001% of the map of No Man’s Sky has been explored: it would likely take over a million years for the entire human race combined to get over 1%. That statistic is mind-boggling, and mathematically, it is completely accurate. The universe of No Man's Sky contains 18 quintillion planets (specifically, 18,446,744,073,709,551,616). The game does not store pre-made maps. It uses mathematical algorithms to generate planets instantly as you approach them. Spending just one second on every planet would take you roughly 585 billion years to see them all.

So the grind for affiliate status is now worthless, except for getting a pay out from it. Twitch never fails to amaze me. They make it extremely obvious what they are doing... without much competition, they are seeing how far they can push the envelope with streamers. I know other platforms aren't perfect, but at least they try to cater to streamers in order to build their platform. I just wish other platforms didn't copy and paste each other. That's what's stopping most people from moving.
📢 Starting today, Channel Points, emotes, subs, Bits, and badges are available to all streamers on Twitch - no Affiliate status required! These tools help you build a community from day one 💜 Enroll and complete your setup in your dashboard today: 🔗 dashboard.twitch.tv/monetiza…
Community note
While Channel Points, emotes, subs, Bits, and badges are available to all streamers without Affiliate status, non-Affiliates cannot receive payouts and must use earnings via Spendable Balance for purchases within Twitch. blog.twitch.tv/en/2026/05/13/…
