Now it makes sense why poverty, illiteracy, terrorism and banditry thrive in the North easily? Because some rich and educated northerners find them attractive. See how they have been fighting to defend mass wedding by their state governors? Weโ€™re in a deep mess!

The welfare and security of the people shall be the primary responsibility of the government. Government does not mean Federal Government alone. So when a State Governor or their appointees or supporters speak as if they donโ€™t have a role to play in improving and safeguarding the welfare and security of the people, I get pissed.

Beyond the fact that its over 1000km border stretch with Libya is โ€œHEAVILYโ€ militarized, we are talking about 20,000 deployment along its border, Algeria has zero tolerance for terrorism. They werenโ€™t always like that. They learnt the very hard way. From 1992- 2002 , there was a civil war against uprising โ€œjihadist fightersโ€ who wanted to topple to Government. This period was known as the โ€œblack decadeโ€. The citizens pampered these local terrorists because they felt they were helping topple a โ€œcorruptโ€ government, until these terrorists started killing civilians and journalists with reckless impunity. Soon after, they ( terrorist group) lost public sympathy, and that changed the tides of the war and the outlook on terrorism forever in Algeria. Today, citizens in Algeria will prefer a corrupt government to the alternative of an Islamist rebel. Lesson for Nigeria:- I need the North to loathe terrorism the same way Algerians do. I need terrorists to loose public sympathy. It starts from the communal conviction of ending terrorism.
What did Algeria do right to have maintained stability after the fall of Libya that Niger, Mali, Chad and Nigeria can learn from?

In my presentation today, I told young lawyers that: The merge salaries they receive cannot sustain them. So they have to start thinking of how to build an alternative source of income through billing for consultation, and building side private practice. Watch this and enjoy

Let us even have serious conversation and end this once and for all. We all agreed that subsidy was due to go! All the major and serious candidates had a common ground on the immediate removal of fuel subsidy. Again, we agreed that as a result of the Presidentโ€™s statement that โ€œsubsidy is goneโ€ price of fuel and other things went up. Follow me. We all can confirm that more money is being generated and more money is shared to states as FAAC allocation on monthly and regular basis? What should the President to do states that are not applying the allocation as it should be? Remove their Governors? Stop giving them money?
Removing subsidies and pumping the money to these governors was never for the benefit of the people. The cruelty has been well planned. He knows that is the resources he need to rig a re-election even when he knows he won't perform.

I am a muslim, and in the UK. I have never think about 50-50. She hasn't been working (more than 2 years) due to child care and we are doing okay. I gave her my salary, pay bills and we save the rest. When she was working, we combine everything, and she holds what is left to save. I am a muslim and a Northerner, we have never had any issue over money or I am working more. If I had the means , wallah, I would prefer her to remain at home whilst I fend for us. She wants to work and I will support her. A northern man is a provider, and we don't break. Alhamdulillah, our women always come through and we don't talk about 50 50 at all. Any amount coming to the home is for the family. Laslty, I am an Igala man. We are strong men ๐Ÿ˜€ May Allah continue to make it easy for us.
I want to ask how do Muslim couples, especially Nigerians, who believe that itโ€™s the manโ€™s sole responsibility to foot all the bills, cope in the UK?

I have seen the footage of the protest against Nigerians in South Africa.I have heard the bad things they say about our people and our country. You canโ€™t blame them. They love their country with all its flaws.Whatever they are saying about us are negative things they first heard from us.When Trump called you a disgraced country, you applauded him. When Trump insulted their country, they rejected the insult and defended their country.Who on Earth would like to host a people who agreed that they are a disgraced people?

When people talk about improving electricity and they are asking for more generation of electricity, it shows a lack of understanding of our situation. Nigeria has an installed electricity generation capacity of 14,000MW. However peak generation/ transmission ever in the country is around 5,800MW. Biggest constraint is GAS. Biggest constraint to gas is pricing and infrastructure. For example, Escravos gas assets owned by Chevron that should optimally produce > 1.5 billion cubic feet of gas daily is doing less than 700 million cubic feet of gas daily due to years of underinvestments. Even if we get enough gas today , we simply canโ€™t effectively transmit our installed generation capacity due lack of infrastructure. Case in point, we arenโ€™t transmitting all of the power generation from Zungeru power plant and if Mambilla becomes operational we will still need an entirely new transmission line to evacuate power. Even if we could evacuate all the electricity generated, we canโ€™t distribute all effectively due to underinvestment in the distribution network. We also canโ€™t guarantee optimal billing and revenue collection due to metering gap. The problem is hydra headed but we still havenโ€™t figured out a policy that allows all the segments of the electricity chain act in sync towards the same goal. Government( FG and states) is also yet to own the problem. If electricity is essential then government must lead from the front. Expecting private players to swam in at this point is living in a foolโ€™s paradise. If there is a policy that can cause the cascade of reaction needed to bring investment, itโ€™s liberalizing price and metering. In the meantime time, the government must liberalize price, commit to fully enforcing huge penalty on gas flaring, close the meter gap, ensure recapitalization of generation and distribution companies, divest from Niger delta power holding company while listing its shares in the capital market build new transmission corridors around mapped out industrial areas ( present or future).

Xara is built to work directly on WhatsApp so you donโ€™t have to download or manage another app. The idea is simple, everyone already uses WhatsApp, so your money should be just as easy to access there. Itโ€™s not about replacing apps but about removing the need for one in the first place.๐Ÿ’™
