A year on from opening up at the start of this journey, and whilst we're now waiting to see if the new bone marrow is working, the cake’s still going strong.

My bone marrow might’ve failed me, but cake never will.
After 3 weeks in hospital, the doctors have now confirmed my bone marrow’s failed. It’s been a long and tiring journey to get here but we can go forward.
Thank you for all the messages, calls and cards. It means a lot 🤍

This weekend marked a year since I was first rushed to hospital, and you know the rest.
So I thought - what better way to mark all the mountains I’ve climbed than hiking an, albeit small, actual one and leave a memento to the past 12 months at the top?

This is me on my lunchtime 5-miler a year ago today.
I could never have even contemplated how the blood tests I'd gone for an hour before would mean it'd be the last time I'd run for seven months let alone the last time outside before complete hospital isolation for four months.

2. If something doesn’t feel right - get it checked, no matter how minor it seems.
3. Live each day as if you don’t know what tomorrow will bring, or if it’ll even come 🤍
