Would it be rude to suggest that the pope should just go fuck a dog with regard to his recent encyclical about AI? The man should stay in his own lane.

This is my sixth conversation with @GavinSBaker. As always with Gavin, the conversation covers a lot of ground, but we spend the most time on watts and wafers. We discuss: - Why the wafer shortage may prevent an AI bubble - Data centers in space (reframed) - Elon's Terafab and the new chip companies challenging Nvidia - Usage-based pricing - The disaggregation of GPUs - DRAM, frontier tokens, and open source Enjoy! Residential Realtors are the most useless people on earth. They add no value. I once met an Irish woman in the US who had been a Realtor. She said "It's a stain you can never wash off..."

I never knew how cool Laurence Welk could be, I mean, I actually LIKE his uncoolness as well... Even back then, he was sponsored by Geritol. x.com/i/status/2055692105637…

"(Ghost) Riders in the Sky: A Cowboy Legend" is a cowboy-styled country/western song written in 1948 by American songwriter Stan Jones. Lawrence Welk and His Orchestra released this unforgettable instrumental version in 1961.

In our coming world of abundance and UBI, it may be that the best way to deal with the crisis of giving people a meaningful life will be to legalize ALL drugs. The ones who survive will be those who choose to live and prosper. It will be ugly for a while.

The great thing about being in a small town is that you can trust people, even scumbags are afraid to cross a line. I just posted my old truck to Craigslist and said this. "You're welcome to have a look at it. Bring a battery and some carb cleaner if you want. It will start for you. The keys are in it. Just don't steal it!

Investing $20k is easy and fun, and you can make huge gains. Investing $1million is so much harder because the fear is greater. I'm a small time nobody, so this is a revelation for me.

I love Stoicism. You are never a slave because you are always free to kill yourself. As miserable as that sounds, it's worth keeping in mind. Also, expect people to piss you off, and you won't feel disappointed.
