Jet2 grew revenue from ~£69m to ~£7bn over about three decades and generated billions in cash since COVID — yet trades like the market is pricing in a slow-motion collapse. So the question is: "Is the sky falling, and how fast?": capytrainer.substack.com/p/j… Research, not advice. Positions disclosed in every report.

After a bad quarter for a security I own — like Haivision Systems Inc. (TSX: HAI), Q2 FY2026 — I'm left with 1) management has failed the credibility test, so cut the loss, versus 2) the asset's too cheap, so add. CAPY is the quantitative bridge between the two. I discuss this in my new post: capytrainer.substack.com/p/w… Research, not advice. Positions disclosed in every report.

Trump's approval in Israel is going to hit 0
$300 BILLION PRIVATE FUND PLANNED TO BOOST IRAN INVESTMENT A US-Iran framework agreement includes plans for a $300 billion private investment fund to support Iran’s economy, a source told Reuters. The fund would launch only after a final deal is signed, with no government money involved. More than half of the capital has reportedly already been committed by companies across the US, Gulf, Asia, South America and Africa.

BREAKING: Iran says the US has agreed to pay $300 billion in reconstruction funds directly to Iran as part of the deal Pakistan announced, alongside the release of $24 billion in frozen funds with $12 billion released before negotiations even start, per Mehr News. This directly contradicts Trump's & Vance's claim that no funds will be transferred to Iran at all. If Trump denies this is true, there never was a deal. If Trump confirms, the US has fully capitulated to Iran's demands.

We agreed to pay Iran 300 billion dollars for reconstruction. There's no spinning that. Awful.
🚨 Pakistan has published what it claims are the key terms of the U.S.-Iran agreement: ➡️ U.S. sanctions on Iran would be lifted. ➡️ Frozen Iranian funds would be partially released. ➡️ A ceasefire would take effect across all fronts, alongside an Israeli withdrawal from Lebanon. ➡️ Iran’s uranium stockpile and nuclear facilities would remain inside Iran. ➡️ A $300 billion compensation fund would be established for Iran. ➡️ The U.S. embargo on Iran would be removed. ➡️ Iran would assume responsibility for managing the Strait of Hormuz and collecting transit fees. The terms are unconfirmed by Washington or Tehran.

It will be exactly the conclusion reached. No POTUS in my lifetime has humiliated the United States more than Trump has over the last month or two. Not even Jimmy Carter, and that's saying something.
Another angle: President Trump says a deal will be signed today. Hours later, Hezbollah launches 6 rocket and drone attacks against northern Israel. Israel responds with strikes in Beirut. Iran then turns around and says: “Look, Israel is sabotaging the deal.” Now we wait to hear President Trump’s response. If Washington places the blame on Israel, it risks creating a precedent where the IRGC and its proxies on Israel’s border can attack at will while Israel is expected not to respond. I hope that is not the conclusion reached.

In exchange for opening the Strait of Hormuz and agreeing they won't develop or acquire nukes Iran will get to sell their oil on the open market and receive $25 billion in frozen assets. So we're basically returning to the same place we were on 27 February except Iran gets to sell their oil and $25 billion?
An Iranian official has spoken to Reuters regarding the potential interim deal with the US, indicating some of what has been agreed to, including: -Fully opening the Strait of Hormuz immediately -U.S. to lift naval blockade within 30 days -No new sanctions imposed while negotiations continue -The U.S. will suspend current sanctions, allowing Iranian oil to be openly sold -$25 billion in Iranian assets to be unfrozen, including direct cash transfers -Formation of an economic development and reconstruction plan -Iran agrees it will neither produce nor acquire nuclear weapons -Fate of the nuclear program, including stockpile of highly enriched uranium, to be negotiated and finalized within 60 days -Full sanctions relief following a final agreement in 60 days

Does anyone else think the criticism of Anthropic is crazy and appreciate that they are thinking cautiously about the dangers their model poses to society?

Operation Epic Fury will go down as one of the most pointless military operations in history! That's not because military action against the IRGC is wrong, but because Trump lacked the will and courage to stay the course! 🇺🇸🇮🇷

I think this is a good example of someone thinking that the way it works in movies is the way it works in real life. Michael Bloomberg spent hundreds of millions to be president. He won the American Somoa primary. Tom Steyer just came in third in the California primary. Jeffrey Epstein died in jail. Money can buy a lot. It doesn’t make you Lex Luther or Blofeld.
Elon is rich enough he could make anyone he wants completely disappear, and no one would do anything about it. I really don't think some of you people realize how much power you are handing over to him. He got the the rules for IPOs changed. He gets laws changed. He gets people elected. He can make people start wars. There are a set of laws for normal people. There are a set for rich people... and then there are a whole new level for people like Elon.

Did anyone in U.S. government do any ramifications analysis and realize this move, where U.S. can shut down models on a whim, will incentivize all foreign countries/companies away from building on top of American models pushing them to use China? Gutting U.S. AI industry. Are we really this dumb? Reverse ASAP
The US government, citing national security authorities, has issued an export control directive to suspend all access to Fable 5 and Mythos 5 by any foreign national, whether inside or outside the United States, including foreign national Anthropic employees. The net effect of this order is that we must abruptly disable Fable 5 and Mythos 5 for all our customers to ensure compliance. Access to all other Claude models is not affected. We apologize for this disruption to our customers. We believe this is a misunderstanding and are working to restore access as soon as possible. Read our full statement: anthropic.com/news/fable-myt…

"misguided safetyism" I think way too much hate towards an AI company attempting to be socially responsible.
I'm against the Trump administration's short-sighted "export ban" on Mythos. That said, misguided safetyism biting Anthropic directly is poetic justice.

Withdraw all forces from Persian gulf, lift all sanctions on Iran, give Iran $12B immediately and $12B more in 60 days, give Iran $300B in construction, let Iran control/toll Strait of Hormuz. US gets promise to discuss Iran nukes. This is not a deal. It is a US surrender.

If this is it, I can see why Trump wants Vance to attend a signing ceremony instead of Trump.
Iran’s Mehr news agency publishes the purported text of the draft agreement with Trump. It will keep the Strait of Hormuz under Iranian control, will promise Iran $300 billion in reconstruction money in addition to an immediate cash transfer of $24 billion, a suspension of sanctions and the withdrawal of U.S. forces from the Middle East. Also, a commitment not to bother Iran again about its missiles and proxies, and restraining Israel in Lebanon. The U.S. gets in exchange a pinky promise to respect the NPT. Let’s see what happens in coming days. Link: mehrnews.com/news/6857718 Full text: A permanent and immediate cessation of war on all fronts, including Lebanon. A U.S. commitment not to interfere in Iran’s internal affairs and to respect the sovereignty of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Full lifting of the naval blockade within 30 days. A U.S. commitment to withdraw its forces from areas surrounding Iran. Reopening of the Strait of Hormuz within 30 days under arrangements determined by Iran. Suspension of sanctions on the sale of oil, petrochemical products, and related derivatives, along with full Iranian access to the resulting financial revenues. The United States and its allies would be required to present reconstruction plans for Iran worth at least $300 billion. A 60-day negotiation period aimed at reaching a final agreement covering nuclear issues and the complete removal of U.S. primary and secondary sanctions, as well as the repeal of relevant resolutions of the UN Security Council and the IAEA Board of Governors. Reaffirmation by Iran of its commitment under the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) not to produce nuclear weapons. During the negotiation period, the United States would commit not to deploy additional forces to the region and not to impose any new sanctions. The release of $24 billion in frozen Iranian assets during the 60-day final negotiation period. Half of this amount must be made available to Iran before negotiations begin. Establishment of a monitoring mechanism to oversee implementation of the agreement. The final agreement would be approved through a UN Security Council resolution. Final negotiations would not begin before the release of half of Iran’s frozen assets, the suspension of oil sanctions, and the lifting of the naval blockade. The final agreement would focus exclusively on the future of enriched nuclear material and uranium enrichment, sanctions relief, and a program for rebuilding Iran’s economy. Discussion of Iran’s missile program and its support for resistance groups would be definitively excluded from the agenda. As stated by the Foreign Ministry spokesperson, this text still requires review and final approval by the relevant authorities in Iran.
