Great stock image of Dublin Bay.. That aside, great to see recognition of research
🌊 OrgAlkCalc, an open-source Python based programme developed by DCU researchers will give us a clearer picture of ocean acidity than before. 💻 The team tested the programme on waters in Dublin bay: dcu.ie/research-publication/… More here: dcu.ie/research-impact

The average science student pays roughly €12,000 over the course of their degree and DCU can't fork out a few quid to allow students to retain access to the contacts and conversations formed over 4 years. So much for the enduring spirit of the @DCU alumni

It’s great to have our work published and highlight the important role that Blue Carbon habitats and sediments within( salt marshes, sea-grass meadows, mangroves and marine sediments) play in global carbon cycling through uptake and immobilisation of carbon and pollutants.
Two fantastic papers from the group of Dr Brian Kelleher @DCUChemistry have just been published: link.springer.com/article/10… and link.springer.com/article/10…. Dr Anthony Grey, the lead author on both papers summarizes this important work below. @scienceirel @IrishResearch @MarineInst ⬇️

Today marks my first time commuting in Dublin city via bike Given the current cycling infrastructure and some motorists attitude toward cyclists you could say I'm a bit of a daredevil
Whenever a city like Paris builds safe bicycle infrastructure that connects people to where they need to go, people will use it in droves. Car dependence was a choice, foisted on us by automotive and fossil fuel corporations.
