🚨NEW: TOM LEE WARNS OF A BIGGER CORRECTION AHEAD “The market had a parabolic lift in the last month and now there’s some sobering taking place” “People are raising cash. I don’t think that this is the start of a broader correction yet.”

Consider that a supposedly charismatic leader is accused of corruption. His supporters obviously wish these accusations to be false. But even if most voters support the leader, their desires shouldn't prevent judges from investigating the accusations & getting to the truth. #trump

As with the justice system, so also with science. A majority of voters might deny the reality of climate change, but they should not have the power to dictate scientific truth or to prevent scientists from exploring and publishing inconvenient facts. #Trump

As an economist, former FT journalist and now Labour MP, l don’t think the bond markets have to fear a change of Labour leadership. The biggest problem for gilt investors and MPs alike is inflation – & it remains our common enemy. My @FT op-ed 👇 (1/5)

Henry Nowak died the same way a civilization dies: abandoned, handcuffed by authorities who neither trusted nor cared for him, and accused of hate crimes he did not commit. His murder is as tragic as it is enraging. He should still be alive today, and he would be if the last few generations of European elites had stood their ground against the politics of self-hatred and the mass invasion of migrants, many of whom despise the West and the people who love it. Henry was far from the first to so needlessly lose his life, and I fear he won’t be the last. Each time a life like his is lost, the proper response—the only response—is righteous anger. One of the most important things the Trump administration has proven to the world is that stopping the flow of mass migration and defending national sovereignty is a matter of political will and leadership. Anything else is an excuse. It is because we love the West that we want to preserve it. We love our civilization. We love our country. We love our children. And nobody—nobody—should ever die the way that Henry Nowak died. May God comfort those who loved him, and may God rest his soul.

Pathetic little man. Helps fuel race riots to take the heat off the limited media probing into his crypto financing. Avoids anything but tame interviews which allow him to spout his slogans. Takes sides with a fascist South African tech bro also whipping up racial hatred against the elected PM of UK, the country he claims to love and wants to lead. Demands apologies for word slips on the BBC (which made him). Yet to apologise for the Brexit which has made British people financially worse off (not him though)
If you disagree with Keir Starmer he will call you racist, far right and goodness-knows-what. He is completely out of touch.

I predicted someone like Trump many years ago, in THE DEAD ZONE. So now I'm saying this--in the next 12-16 months, we're going to find out if the two machines for the removal of a man unable to fulfill his duties actually work. They are impeachment and the 25th amendment. He is deeply unwell .

Today's post Just Make it Stop. polemicpaine.substack.com/p/… Hormuz shuts, fuel goes up, holidays cancel and suddenly the barbaric regime has legitimate grievances. Not hypocrisy. Something more predictable and considerably more depressing - what stress actually does to conviction when the cost becomes personal.

There seems to be a surprising lack of anger about the fact that the U.S. President is driving us all off an economic cliff, hundred of millions are going to find life much tougher as a direct result of what this man decided to do, and unlike Iran, the U.S. is a democracy!
