Nearly one year in, New York's congestion relief program is saving people time and creating good jobs on construction projects to deliver the reliable, accessible subway service that millions of riders deserve, not just in Manhattan, but deep into Brooklyn, Queens and the Bronx
Congestion pricing is the gift that keeps on giving this holiday season. 🥰

In a world where nothing is shocking anymore, this is shocking. > The U.S. Postal Service has proposed a new rule that would allow it to refuse to deliver mail ballots in states that don’t turn over voter rolls to the federal government nytimes.com/2026/06/11/us/po…

New York’s 24/7 subway means late night and weekend shutdowns are unavoidable, but the replacement service is terrible — and risks pushing people away from taking transit altogether. nyc.streetsblog.org/2026/06/…

We know how to prevent pedestrian deaths. Every other peer country has implemented solutions to make their roads safer, but U.S. policymakers allow more than 7,000 people walking on the road to be killed each year. Learn more: buff.ly/QxD0AfT

It was a hot one, but the fight to expand Fair Fares is still going strong! Thank you to the riders, community organizers, and elected leaders @CMCrystalHudson, @CMShahanaHanif, and @CabanD22 for joining us at City Hall to demand affordable transit for all!

📢 Working New Yorkers deserve affordable public transit. Every day, 32BJ members from a doorperson to cleaners and security officers to airport workers rely on buses and subways to get to work and keep New York City running. That’s why 32BJ is proud to join a coalition of labor unions and advocates calling on Mayor Mamdani and the City Council to expand Fair Fares by increasing the income eligibility threshold. Too many working families earn just above the current limit but still struggle with the rising cost of living. Expanding Fair Fares would put money back in workers’ pockets and make it easier for millions of New Yorkers to get where they need to go. Read our coalition letter 1/2⬇️

I never want to hear another word about another arena. It’s the GOAT arena. It just carried a team to history. Not another word.

📢📢 Working New Yorkers to @nycmayor: Expand Fair Fares! Working-class, transit-dependent bus and subway riders who keep our city running deserve affordable transit. Nobody knows that better than the workers @32bjseiu, who have joined @1199SEIU, @rwdsustronger, @transportworker more in calling on Mayor Mamdani to expand Fair Fares and cut transit costs for millions of workers! Together, these unions represent hundreds of thousands of New Yorkers from home health aides to airport workers, many of whom face massive affordability challenges and would greatly benefit from expanding Fair Fares’ income threshold to reach more low-wage workers. Limited weekend service on public transit is so maddening and frankly classist because so many working class people work on Saturdays and/or Sundays.

Riders endorse longstanding transit champions Senator @JabariBrisport and Assembly Member Phara Souffrant-Forrest (@phara4assembly) to represent riders in Albany! As lifelong Brooklynites with professional careers before their elected leadership in Albany, both Senator Jabari Brisport and Assembly Member Phara Souffrant-Forrest are intimately aware of riders' struggles and consistent champions of our interests. Both have stuck by us through thick and thin, helping deliver more frequent transit, accessible stations, and congestion relief. We're proud to help send them back to the State Capitol to keep up the fight for more time in our lives, more money in our pockets, and more dignity on our commutes.
