In our paper, now out in @GlobalHealthBMJ, we explored for the first time the effects of the large amounts of uncertainty that exists around the properties of self-clearance of Mtb infection on estimates of TB vaccine impact. gh.bmj.com/content/8/8/e0127… @richardwhite321 @ra_clark18

New @BioMedCentral Public Health paper showing that the risk of #Mtb transmission can vary greatly between settings due to differences in ventilation and occupancy. Public transport 🚍🚃 may be particularly high risk in South Africa 🇿🇦 doi.org/10.1186/s12889-022-1…

Our paper exploring the burden of subclinical TB now out in CID - around half of prevalent TB is subclinical, and not correlated with burden. Urgently need to reconsider passive symptom-based screening methods to interrupt ongoing transmission @LSHTM_TB. academic.oup.com/cid/advance…

Very pleased to see our modelling study of the Diamond Princess published in eLife. We estimate that ~ 3/4 of infections were asymptomatic and may have contributed substantially to transmission. Huge thanks to excellent collaborators and the reviewers. doi.org/10.7554/eLife.58699

Interesting discussion today led by @alexsrichards on a paper from Romain Ragonnet and @JamesTrauer on estimating the duration and mortality rates of untreated #TB - would be great to have a wider conversation on implications for past and future models academic.oup.com/cid/cid/adv…
