Do you think that fish that lets the parasite eat and become its tongue is under some impression that it made its own tongue?
BREAKING: MIT just completed the first brain scan study of ChatGPT users & the results are terrifying. Turns out, AI isn't making us more productive. It's making us cognitively bankrupt. Here's what 4 months of data revealed: (hint: we've been measuring productivity all wrong)

Undetectable since 2012. It really reframes your whole perspective when "one of the worst things that can happen to a person" is so manageable.
I thought my life was over, but you know what... Adherence to the med is the only key. I have been Undetectable since 2018. If you are newly diagnosed, let that sink in.

Oh Elon. That reckoning you so deeply desire is not going to be the one you think it is.

Still very upset about all the Master & Commander sequels we deserved, wanted and needed but didn't get. 😭

In Verner Vinges "Rainbow's End" they can't train their AI fast enough on printed books so they devise a machine that shreds books and blows them through a giant fan filled with scanners. The AI digitally reassembles the shredded fragments. Doesn't feel too on the nose now.

Give me 20 minutes and a white board and I'll tell you how this mess would never have happened without two shots in Sarajevo.

I always forget that a majority of people appear to deeply revile, loathe, and hate with the fury of a thousand suns the sight of a penis. Big blind spot for me.

What perplexes me the most is the way that right wing "thinkers" have learned how to mimic the cadence of the public intellectual to the point that the public intellectual entirely withdrew. They killed the public intellectual. An era of terrible performance art has replaced it.

Trying to write for TV has always been like trying to get into the NFL, to be one of around 25k people who have ever done it - but now it's more like trying to be one in around 644 which is how many people have been to space.

Elon will never have a biopic, but I bet his daughter will.

Probably not by creating the intellectual equivalent of a WWF Cage match for views. This is what Jon Stewart was saying about Crossfire. Set a table with good things to eat and drink, don't set a combat arena in the round.

Hard for me to shit on basically any tv show or movie that gets made because I’m just glad people are working. Every show that goes means industry jobs doesn’t matter to me if it’s good or if it’s garbage

Not convinced at all that weed makes anyone “too paranoid” I think it just makes you realize that you are a fragile thing that’s going to die someday, and that’s a good reason to get high. Occasionally.

The human condition is being stuck between wanting total control of your destiny and also for someone else to tell you what you want for lunch and be right.

Young friend of mine wrote an absolute banger feature script about the recent wildfires and the insurance industry. In the same genre as The Big Short. 8 on the blcklst, super low budget (small cast, minimal locations) gripping, emotionally authentic…1/2

And I need, need, need this script to get bought/produced, more than I want my own work to succeed. This godforsaken industry has to work for SOMEBODY. Gotta be the person I never had, I just gotta knit my fingers together and help. You should read it. Title, Excess of Loss.
