If these reports are true, comparing Israel to apartheid South Africa is not only factually wrong, but also completely unacceptable for someone speaking on behalf of the EU. At a time when Member States are questioning the direction and size of the EEAS, such remarks further undermine trust in Europe’s foreign policy apparatus.

Very happy and proud to present together with @NGOmonitor and my dear friend Olga Deutsch. I will present @EJAssociation need off and call for our special protection status for the Jewish people in Europe.
Next week, I'll have the pleasure of presenting alongside my dear friend and an incredible political leader @DavidLega at the Swedish Parliament. I'll share some disturbing findings about diversion of aid in Gaza, based on @NGOmonitor research. The event is graciously hosted by Members of the Swedish Parliament @FredrikMalm and @MagnusBerntsson

Every year, we organise a dedicated Bootcamp for aspiring advocates and activists. Our Bootcamps are intensive, enlightening, and fun, and they equip participants with hands-on training in advocacy, social media, debating skills, media appearances, organising pro-Israel and pro-Jewish events, and much more. Our next EJA Bootcamp takes place in Copenhagen on 25–26 May 2026 and is called “Navigating the Storm.” Our expert trainers will guide participants through intensive sessions in advocacy and activism for Jewish life and for Israel in these turbulent times. This weekend, EJA Secretary General @DavidLega was in Scandinavia for three full days. Friday evening he opened the Nordic Israel Congress in Oslo, keynoting for MIFF (MedIsrael for Fred) on antisemitism and anti-Zionism in Europe. @miffno Saturday he addressed the annual congress of Vänskapsförbundet Sverige-Israel outside Stockholm, speaking on Israel’s place in Brussels and the wider world, and what the September 2026 Swedish election means for Israel’s voice in Sweden and in the EU. On Sunday, David was elected Chairman of Vänskapsförbundet Sverige-Israel, @SverigeIsrael one of Scandinavia’s oldest and most active pro-Israel organisations, founded in 1953. Two congresses, two keynotes, one new role. These are the partnerships that matter. Grassroots organisations, engaged communities, and leaders willing to speak plainly about what is at stake for Israel, for Jewish life in Europe, and for the democracies that need to choose a side. Congratulations, David. Now get back to work. 🇸🇪🇮🇱🇳🇴🇪🇺 #EJA #NordicIsraelCongress #MIFF #SverigeIsrael #Antisemitism #JewishEurope #Israel

We were honored to visit the Swedish Parliament during our Strategic Dialogue Conference. I want to express a heartfelt thank you to MP Magnus Oscarsson for hosting us and welcoming us to such an important institution, where decisions that shape nations are made. Your friendship and support mean a great deal to us. I also want to extend my deep appreciation to the Israeli Ambassador to Sweden @zivnk Ziv Nevo Kulman for your steadfast service in a challenging environment. Your dedication over the years shows the trust and confidence placed in your work, we admire your courage and commitment. To the leaders of European Jewish communities and organizations who joined us, I thank you not only for being here and sharing this experience but for the tireless work you do every day. Many of you face threats, restrictions, and personal sacrifices to protect your communities, and I want you to know that your efforts do not go unnoticed. You are an inspiration to many, and your dedication strengthens Jewish life across Europe. I pray that you continue your important work with strength and resilience, and may your families bring you pride and joy. RT @EJAssociation: We spent two days in Stockholm, where the European Jewish Association brought together Jewish leaders from across Europe…

The @EJAssociation thank you so much for your dedication and support for the European and Swedish Jewry. We are grateful that you accepted our King Salomon Award presented in Stockholm this week. 🙏
The collective European west has made a mistake in extending its tolerance also to the intolerant. The price for this mistake has been payed disproportionately by European Jews. We handed out citizenship to people who promoted antisemitism and wanted to overthrow our way of living. This self-inflicted condition has to stop. The other day I was honored to receive the EJA King Solomon Award and this is a part of the speech I was able to give at the reception.

Following the attack against the synagogue in Liège, Belgium, the U.S. Ambassador to Belgium, @BillWhiteUSA , visited the community to show solidarity and to see the synagogue that was damaged. Our colleague @ralphpais had the honor of accompanying Ambassador White, who without hesitation left all his engagements to drive to Liège this morning. They were received by the mayor of Liège, @WillyDemeyer who was very clear in his condemnation of the attack against the synagogue last night. We thank Ambassador White for his support and for standing with the Jewish community at this difficult time.
