Dr. David Musoke Receives International Award for Malaria Research

@DavidMusoke14, Associate Professor and Chair of the Disease Control and Environmental Health Department at
@Makerere University School of Public Health (MakSPH), has received the Low- and Middle-Income Country (LMIC) Investigator Award at the 2026 International Behavioural Trials Network (
@IBTNetwork) Conference, held from May 7–9, 2026, in Montreal, Canada.
He was recognised for more than 10 years of impactful research on integrated malaria prevention in rural communities in Uganda. Dr. Musoke’s work has advanced evidence on malaria prevention and contributed to improved community health practices, particularly in Wakiso District.
The award honours an independent investigator residing and working in a low- or middle-income country who has made outstanding scientific contributions in behavioural interventions and public health.
