I see a lot of writers creating threads about their journey, so I’ll try one of my own. When I finished grad school, everyone told me, if you want to work in TV, you need to get an assistant job. I was on crutches and have cerebral palsy, so…um…good luck!

Just yesterday someone who is not in the film/tv industry asked me, “what happened to TV anyway? It’s not what it used to be.” It isn’t, and this great thread explains why

Many voters (myself included) voted late & by mail & recognizing Bass's position was secure ( not really liking her much) saw the writing on the wall and wanted to make sure Pratt was not the alternative. We also took a while to decide on governor. It's really as simple as that.
Mail-in ballots favor Democrats. OK, fine. Spencer Pratt was never going to lead in mail-in ballots. But what is the justification for mail-in ballots received BEFORE the election vastly favoring Karen Bass, and the ones received AFTER the election favoring Nithya Raman?

BRUTAL 1990 interview. She tells Trump can you just drop the mask and stop pretending you're a billionaire? You don't have any money and the bankers just told me you're deep in debt. Can you drop the facade? WATCH

To the conservatives who think celebrities have the wrong view of politics -- Mamdani agrees.

Mayor Zohran Mamdani mocks Ronald Reagan’s infamous quote. “I can think of nine words more terrifying than ‘I’m from the government and I’m here to help…’” “I worked all day and can’t feed my family.”

The entire vibe of this feels like Tom Haverford from PARKS & REC. It's hard for me to believe people are taking this seriously as someone to lead a major city.

This is how Democrats treated the left in 2024, and how the party CHOSE Biden as the nominee and cancelled primaries and debates. They said "SHUT UP AND VOTE FOR BIDEN OR FUCK YOU"

We are going to see an EXPLOSION in firings by Trump and also denouncement of Trump between now and the midterms as Republicans and Trump calculate how to (1) save themselves and (2) set up to blame others for the inevitable blue wave

I don't recall any previous transformative technologies having to be sold so desperately. No one in 1999 was going, "Guys. Cell phone? It's coming, whether we like it or not. I think it's important, FOR WOMEN ESPECIALLY, to learn about cell phone. So that we're not left behind!!"

Anyone who ever asks who will pay for a government social service is full of shit. American states have more GDP than entire countries with public healthcare. We have the money. We have always had the money. You paying for bombs & jets.

Voters: We want Universal Healthcare Democrats: Okay we'll do that Healthcare Lobby: If you do that, the $20 - $70 million we give you is cut off Democrats: Whoah, we need that money. How about we allow most of the party to vote yes, but we get at least 3 dems to vote no so that it will fail, this way the heat is on those 3 democrats instead of the whole party. This way the party looks like we want to give it to the people, but we cant because those 3 Democrats stopped it.

I'm convinced Donald Trump is a top 10 character in the history of civilization. People will be studying the mass psychosis that allowed this obviously pathetic person to control so many people for generations to come. They'll never really be able to come up with 1 clean answer.
No way the fall of Rome was this cringe
