That's one of the better on s I've seen.
The Adder is a completely viable, and realistic weapon system.
Let's peel this back, Shall we?
A surface to surface mobile artillery system, with (I lol at this one) "Computer sensored missiles".. Yeah..well it what that means is the Adder has a built in radar to analyze terrain, and possibly seek, and track surface targets.
But that's not its main duty. The Adder fires two Surface to surface, radar guided missiles, that when over the target, release a massive swarm of cluster munitions.
Cluster munitions are some of the MOST DEADLY weapons humans have made, and some argue they should be outlawed, making former battlefields a virtual death zone of unexploded cluster munitions.
What the effect IS, a wide spread area if effect. Infantry, light armor, exposed vehicles, light buildings..ALL GONE in that area.
With its high mobility chassis, the Adder is never exposed to fire. Operators are directed to use the Adder in support of advancing troops, or "prepping" the assault area. Adders would fire their two weapons and stay in position long enough to guide them. Once delivered, the Adder quickly returns to cobra Supply rearms with 2 more Rockets, and quickly returns to its point of delivery..wash..rinse repeat. These should always be operating in Teams of at least 4-6, with half the force reloading, and Half delivering giving continuous HELL from above.
You have the PERFECT small, compact delivery vehicle running a stable, guided weapons platform that delivers artillery regiment quality devastation. Its small, hard to hit, and has barely any thermal signature.
To me, the Adder is one HELL of an awesome field piece, and a truly devastating addition to Cobra Artillery divisions.
