To combat Medicare fraud, this admin put a 6 month pause on new Medicare enrollments for new home health and hospice agencies. Instead of using data to target the source of the problems, they’re exploiting it for political gain by penalizing the people we need the most: home health aides and hospice workers. Over 3/4ths of improper payments relate to document deficiencies — NOT fraud. This is a training and compliance opportunity that’s easy to fix — and our gov has the data that proves this out.
